Here is what we saw at Robyn's show last night.

Following a string of summer tour dates and festival appearances, Robyn has announced she will be returning to the U.S. for 3 MORE SHOWS this fall in support of her critically acclaimed new album Honey, out now on Konichiwa/Interscope Records. Last night at the Masonic Temple, Robyn was scheduled to perform. Due to unusual ticket flow, the show was relocated to the cathedral which was left of the main building. Fans decorated in glitter, shimmer, and fancy coats enter the building ready to dance the weekday away. The guest opener ESG was a delight to see as they got the fans all warmed up for the main act. There was one moment of the band members danced in an alien head costume, which brought laughter and smiles across many the crowd’s faces as they got into the spirit of the night. The show was filled with so much excitement and dancing not only by Robyn and her stage dancer but as well as the crowd. Robyn's performance was a force to be reckon with on the floor. This was a night not to forget as this was only one of four shows left on her tour. She mentioned Instagram her main reason for the break:

If touring will bring me closer to something fruitful and if the show we have been doing this year will keep evolving then I will do more shows next year, but right now these are the last confirmed shows I know for sure that I will do at this moment in time. Ive been touring all my life, before I did it myself, I toured with my parents theater group. I dont know if its actually something Ive chosen or if its just something I was raised in to, but Im good at it. I enjoy the repetition and the controlled chaos that appears after something like 20 or 30 times of doing the same thing (rehearsals not included). The band I have been working with this time is the best band I have ever played with and the crew we work with are as well. They all bring so much to every show; care and joy. Also, the audiences we have performed for this year have been special. Ive felt that you’ve urged us/me to be specific, like you have recognized something in the intention I had of making a soft and still urgent show and I am amazed and really happy about that. This year has been hard and challenging for me, but Im glad I have something meaningful to do. Im sure there is more to explore, I hope I can find a new thread to unravel with you. Thanks for letting me do this.”

For fans in Michigan, this meant they had one more chance to see the queen. Many traveled across Michigan while some jumped the border to catch her set. Tickets are still on sale for her other three dates which are listed to the right.
