Hear the glimmering indie rock of Spin's debut EP, You're Losing Me

STREAM: You're Losing Me EP

Spring is a time for release and renewal, and that’s exactly the feeling the three songs on Spin’s debut You're Losing Me EP intend. The New York based project stems from the mind of Eric Soucy, with production and collaboration from Jon Markson (Drug Church, Koyo, Taking Meds). The EP combines indie rock and dream-pop, signified by lush layers, bright guitars and beaming hooks.

The glimmering opening notes of “Everything At Once” immediately evoke a sense of nostalgia, as lyrics sway through self discovery. “I Wish You Wouldn’t Go” follows suit with a swirling build-up and emotional outpour of acceptance in letting go. The EP ends with the infectious “Slow It Down” as the fluttering instrumentation and floaty vocal delivery get lost in your head.

On the track Soucy expands:

“Slow It Down is about finding love and just truly wanting nothing from that person but to make them happy and be there for them. ‘I won’t make you change your name, I won’t let you wake up alone on a Saturday’ - that line is about not expecting anything from anyone and to just be there for someone because you truly want to be.”
