JOSEFINE RIDELL RELEASES BEWITCHING BALLAD “WHAT DID I DO”
Today, Swedish-born, London-based pop singer-songwriter Josefine Ridell reveals her latest single ‘What Did I Do’. As a new voice on the block, with this bewitching song only being her second release to date, Josefine sings and writes with great confidence and style which gives you the impression that she’s a seasoned artist, rather than one at the start of her musical career. The project is available now on your streaming service of choice via APOLLO Distribution.

Speaking on the meaning behind her new single, Josefine shares that; “What Did I Do” is written about falling in love in the most uncomplicated way. Where all the pieces fall into place so effortlessly it almost feels too good to be true compared to previous experiences in love. It highlights the self doubt you can feel when stepping into a new relationship after having had your heart broken before, and asking yourself the question of “what did I do to deserve something this good”.
Heavily inspired by her scandi roots, Josefine is bringing a welcomed flavour of scandi-pop to the UK music scene. Full of emotion, enchanting ballad vocals and soft piano chords, ‘What Did I Do’ is a romantic endeavor that showcases Josefine’s strong sense of musicality.
Today’s release is the follow up track to Ridell’s debut single ‘When You Were Mine’, which came out November last year and stunningly kicked off her campaign as an emerging artist in the UK pop scene, with lots more to come!
More on Josefine Ridell …
My name is Josefine Ridell and I’m an independent artist based in London. I moved over from Sweden 5 years ago and took with me some strong scandi pop influences (Sigrid, LEON) I’d like to think shine through in my own music. On the days where I’m not sitting by my piano singing my heart out I’m making coffees in a cafe and chatting away with my regulars, they’ve all encouraged me to put my music out into the world so here it is, I hope you enjoy.
