#Live: The Beaches dominate the Masonic Temple

#Live: The Beaches dominate the Masonic Temple

We are back at it with another group you should be keeping an eye on, not because their song “Edge of the Earth" was featured on the Amazon Prime show “Off Campus” or that they were just on tour with Louis Tomlinson (That Louis, from One Direction), or the upcoming festivals that they will be taking over this summer but because put up a good fight and ready to take on much more than what you heard on recording.

The Beaches stopped by the Masonic Temple here in Detroit on Saturday on the How Did We Get Here tour. The nearly sold-out night was intense, but the music put everyone into a dangerous heatwave territory. Right after Picture Parlour, The Beaches jump right into action. They kick off the show with Takes One to Know One and Touch Myself off their latest album, No Hard Feelings, earlier this month. From the front to the back, many of the Louis fans were easily converted into The Beaches fans before Edge of the Earth even started playing. One of our personal favorite moments from the crowd side was when a fan freaked out, putting two and two together that this was the band that sang that song. She told us while we waited for Louis that she had that song stuck in her head for weeks. Towards the end, they brought out Picture Parlor for their song Last Girl at the Party, and thanked Louis for bringing the best openers for this tour.

As we mentioned earlier, they will be hitting the festivals across the world. Full line up can be found The Beaches Website, They will be in Canada, Colorado (Supporting Foster the People), Maryland, and New York.

 More About The Beaches

The Beaches have been having a year for the ages. Fresh off their Global Force Award win at Billboard’s Women in Music Awards last month, the group will carry themomentum of “Edge of the Earth’s” resurgence on the road throughout the summer, with a run of festival sets around the world and a slew of supporting performances on the US leg of Louis Tomlinson’s “How Did We Get Here? World Tour.” Tour routing below, tickets are available HERE.

The new tour dates follow the band’s headline world tour this past fall, along with performances on NPR Tiny Desk and Jimmy Kimmel Live! in support of their third studio album, No Hard Feelings. The 11-track project, brimming with unapologetically honest, confessional lyricism and anthemic, infectious bangers, proves why The Beaches are one of the driving forces of alt-rock today.
