The music video is a semi-homecoming for the band as the performance scene in the video features real Runarounds fans in the crowd at The Commodore in Charleston, SC. In addition, the video’s director Brad Walker was the Director of Photography on The Runarounds Amazon Prime show - the result is a powerful combination of real fans and a crew who knows how to get the best out of the band on screen!

On the new music video the band’s drummer Zendé Murdock said: “We had such a blast filming our latest music video! Thanks to our incredible team, we were able to find little pockets of time over a couple days on tour to film this awesome video, all brought together by our talented friends Brad Walker, John Lehman, Sean Leas, and of course Jonas Pate! Also shoutout to our ever so sweet Charleston peeps who joined us for the performance scenes, we love ya so much :)”

The music video arrives as The Runarounds prepare to kick off the highly anticipated next leg of their Minivan Tour, following a massive headline run where the band sold more than 45,000 tickets across 32 shows, upgraded 12 venues due to overwhelming demand, and added second nights in both New York City and Nashville. The band is one of the most electric live acts in indie rock, and their summer tour dates begin June 6th, featuring their high-profile debut performance at Bonnaroo (June 13th). They also made a debut performance at High Water Festival in April. See their recent article in Pollstar on their incredible touring history HERE.

Driven by shimmering guitars, anthemic melodies, and the band’s signature emotional urgency, “Bleachers” captures the feeling of chasing a moment you know won’t last — but wanting to live in it anyway. From sneaking out under the cover of night to late drives with nowhere to be, the song channels the kind of memories that stick long after they’re gone.

On the new track, guitarist/vocalist Axel Ellis said: “Bleachers was written initially about sneaking out when you were younger. While we’re all a bit too old to have to ‘sneak out’ these days - we wrote it as if we were still doing things we used to do in high school. Things like turning your headlights off before picking up a friend so their parents don’t see, or silently shuffling down the driveway so as to not make a sound - things that used to make our hearts race back when curfews mattered. It led us down a road of wanting to take back that fleeting nostalgia - the nights in the backseat, or under the bleachers. It’s a reconnection with youth, recognizing although you might not be in that same place anymore, why not try to keep the good days alive?”

Produced by Daniel Gleason (Grouplove) and TJ Elias (Mastodon, Manchester Orchestra), and recorded at 100 Watt Studios in Charleston, SC, “Bleachers” builds on the band’s momentum following recent releases including “Arrhythmia (I Hope You Stay)” and “Chasing The Good Times,” further showcasing their ability to blend indie rock energy with deeply relatable storytelling.
