(Burbank, CA – March 27, 2026) Texas‑bred rock trio little image (Jackson Simmons, Troy Bruner, Brandon Walters) release their sophomore album KILL THE GHOST today via Hollywood Records. The album marks a bold new era for the band following a year of growth and reinvention. Building on the themes introduced in recently released singles “KILL THE GHOST” and “REAL ESTATE the record explores transformation, resilience, and the pursuit of authenticity, capturing a moment of reckoning and renewal that turns chaos into clarity and self‑doubt into transcendence.

KILL THE GHOST arrives after a breakout ascent that included a #1 Alternative radio hit (OUT OF MY MIND”), a U.S. headline run, and tours with Panic! At The Disco, Bad Suns, almost monday and Joywave. Rather than rushing into their follow‑up, the band took time to recalibrate, stepping away from the noise of momentum and, notably, going to therapy together to reconnect with one another and their creative intentions. That pause became the foundation for an album rooted in honesty, healing, and forward motion.

“As soon as we wrote ‘KILL THE GHOST,’ it became like a mantra for us,” says drummer Troy Bruner. “It’s a call to let go of whatever’s holding you back from being who you truly are, and we all felt passionate that it should be one of the defining statements for the album.”

“Therapy helped us give each other more grace,” says vocalist Jackson Simmons. “It’s helped us understand this very unusual lifestyle we’ve chosen and protect the chemistry that makes this band work. I honestly feel like more bands should do it.”

Mainly produced by longtime collaborator Chad Copelin (Sufjan Stevens, 5SOS) and recorded at his Oklahoma studio, KILL THE GHOST marks a sonic evolution for little image. Moving away from the synth‑heavy palette of their 2023 debut SELF TITLED, the band lean into a more guitar‑driven, story‑forward sound, a return to their roots as Dallas‑area suburban kids who bonded over underground indie rock, now sharpened by years of growth and experience.

The album opens with its title track, a larger-than-life anthem about confronting self-sabotage and stepping into emotional freedom. From there, little image explores both triumph and turmoil, from the haunting meditation on fear of abandonment in “THE REAPER” to the hypnotic anxiety of “DEFCON.” Elsewhere, “EASY TO LOVE” (co-written with Landon Jacobs of Sir Sly) balances brutal honesty with playful wit, while album closer “ALWAYS ENDS” offers a dreamlike reflection on the band’s journey, early misadventures, creative friction, and the deep bonds forged along the way.

Alongside the album, little image has released the official video for THE REAPER,” written by Jeremy Lutito, Jackson Simmons, Troy Bruner, and Brandon Walters, produced by Chad Copelin, and directed by longtime collaborator Sawyer Skipper.

About the video, Bruner says: “’THE REAPER’ quickly became our favorite song on the album because it carries so much of what it means to be human, grief, pain, loss, and the quiet weight of forgiveness. When it came time to make the video, we knew it had to carry the same gravity as the song itself.

While we were touring the UK, we came across an old church in the north surrounded by the shadow of an abandoned nuclear plant. It felt like the kind of place where this story could live. We shot the video on 16mm film with our longtime friend and director Sawyer Skipper - someone we’ve been creating with since we were kids. We cast an incredible actor named Neville Cann as The Reaper and asked a lot of him, because we only had one day to capture everything.

None of us knew if it would come together the way we imagined, but somehow every moment seemed to unfold exactly as it needed to. Looking back, it felt less like we were forcing something into existence and more like something quietly orchestrated itself around us.

More than anything, this song and video represent the reason we’re in a band at all, to remind ourselves and anyone who listens that we are a part of something bigger than ourselves.”

Beyond the music, little image remains a formidable creative force, taking a hands-on approach to every aspect of their world, from designing their own stage lighting to shaping the album’s visual identity.

Throughout KILL THE GHOST, an inadvertent lyrical motif of a rabbit appears, symbolizing innocence, the true self, and the pursuit of magic in a world that often tries to crush it. “At the end of the day, the goal of this band is to help people feel like they’re part of something greater than themselves,” adds Bruner. “That feeling of belonging creates freedom, and that’s what we want to offer.”

In support of the album, little image hit the road this spring, kicking off a tour with Bad Suns on April 14, followed by their U.S. headline tour, KILL THE GHOST, launching May 6 in Cambridge, MA, and running through June. Full tour dates are available here.

Their dynamic live performances and growing fanbase continue to position little image as one of the most exciting acts in alternative music today. “REAL ESTATE,” one of the latest from little image, follows the band’s 2025 releases of “KILL THE GHOST,” “NOVOCAINE,” “RUN FOR FOREVER” and “THE PRESSURE” - five tracks written by the band after a year spent wrestling with personal and professional hurdles. Their debut album, SELF TITLED, dropped in May 2023 and catapulted the band into the spotlight, powered by the breakout single, "OUT OF MY MIND,” a chart-topping #1 on Alternative Radio.

Critics took notice. The Dallas Observer praised their versatility saying, “‘little image's aesthetic is but one component of the band's overall irresistible artistic package, which starts with the rocking pop flavor of the band's music.”

About little image:

Over more than a decade, Dallas trio little image has transformed from suburban kids obsessed with underground indie rock into the cohesive band they are today. Comprised of Jackson Simmons (vocals/guitar), Brandon Walters (bass/synth), and Troy Bruner (drums), the trio truly came into their own during the 2020 lockdown.

This period allowed them to experiment with creating pop-rock music beyond the traditional guitar/bass/drums setup. Their creative surge led to a partnership with Chad Copelin (Sufjan Stevens, 5SOS), who provided a nurturing studio environment. This collaboration culminated in the release of their debut album, SELF TITLED, in May 2023, followed by a U.S. headline tour. The album, which tells a story of self-doubt, self-reflection, and self-love, scored the band their first #1 alternative radio hit, "OUT OF MY MIND.”

In 2025, little image released “REAL ESTATE,” “KILL THE GHOST,” "RUN FOR FOREVER” and “THE PRESSURE, the first tracks of new music since their debut, followed by “NOVOCAINE.” After a challenging year in 2024, the band channeled their experiences into writing and recording their next album.

little image has toured with Panic! At The Disco and Colony House, and performed at festivals like Shakey Knees, Float Fest, and Wonderbus Music & Arts Festival. In 2025, they completed a 20-city European tour with almost monday and a summer run supporting Bad Suns in late June. They also joined Joywave on their Here To Perform… Spring 2025 tour.

With more new music on the way, little image is poised to make 2026 another landmark year.
