NEW ALBUM SUPERBLOOM OUT APRIL 17TH
London– Today, Jessie Ware releases “Automatic,” from her upcoming album Superbloom out April 17th via Interscope Records. Listen to “Automatic” HERE.
“Automatic” is Ware at her most magnetic: commanding, sensual, and fully locked into her power. The track is elevated by a scene-stealing spoken cameo from acclaimed actor Colman Domingo: “Do you know what you’ve got? You’ve got a perfect woman.” The result is something both tongue-in-cheek and transcendent, a playful meditation on desire, devotion, and feminine divinity, delivered with Ware’s signature wink.
Taken from Jessie’s upcoming album Superbloom, set for release on April 17th, the track continues to reveal the album’s rich, cinematic world, one shaped by pleasure, intimacy, and self-possession. Where previous releases nodded to escapism, Superbloom leans fully into embodiment: an album alive with touch, connection, and the quiet power of knowing exactly who you are.
Talking about the track, Ware said: “’Automatic’ was the first song where I really felt like I was bringing the dance and soul world together for this album. I wrote it with Kamille, Karma Kid and Baz. Karma had this amazing sample and groove, and it all clicked instantly. Kamille and I couldn’t stop writing; it just flowed really naturally. That’s probably what I love most about it, it feels effortless and like it can exist in any setting.
It’s a celebration of romance and connection. I was actually the voice at the beginning at first, but I wanted someone sexier and smoother and I knew Colman Domingo was the man for the job! He comes in as this ‘voice of the love gods.’
I remember being in a strings session for the album when I had the idea to ask him, and he said yes straight away. I gave him the script and he voice noted it back within the hour! I feel really lucky to have friends who are up for indulging my ideas.”
Across the project, Ware refines and expands her sonic language, drawing on the warmth of ‘70s soul, the pulse of disco, and a distinctly modern sense of control. There’s a clarity to Superbloom, an artist not just exploring fantasy, but defining it on her own terms.
With “Automatic,” that vision sharpens into focus: confident, seductive, and unmistakably Jessie Ware.
