Today sees dance music’s reigning it-girl-of-the-moment Miss Bashful announce her most personal and fully realized album project to date: Glamour Snobby, arriving May 1st via Polydor/Capitol Records – pre-order/pre-save HERE. Leading the next chapter is new single “HUNKA HUNKA,” a playful electro-pop track that celebrates desire, freedom, and sexual confidence. Listen HERE and watch the video HERE.
On “HUNKA HUNKA,” Miss Bashful falls headfirst into a flirtation with a gay man, embracing the absurdity and thrill of the moment with her signature wink. The track captures the messy fun of desire, joyfully leaning into temptation and fantasy with a promiscuous energy that refuses to apologize. Club-ready and cheeky, it sets the tone for the world of Glamour Snobby: bold, self-aware, and deliciously over-the-top.
More than an album, Glamour Snobby acts as an initiation into Miss Bashful’s most expansive pop vision yet. Blending sharp songwriting with sleek, club-ready production, the record uses attitude and humor to explore fame, desire, and self-creation.
Last Friday, Miss Bashful kicked off her U.S. headline tour run with a sold-out show at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. Additional tour stops include San Francisco (The Regency Ballroom), Chicago (Outset), and New York (Brooklyn Steel). Full tour routing can be found HERE. Miss Bashful also has major festival plays upcoming including Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Movement Festival in Detroit.
Mexico City born, Texas raised, and now a Berlin sensation, Miss Bashful always knew she was destined for the spotlight. She jokes that she came strutting out the womb in a microkini, mini skirt, and pigtails, and she’s been performing ever since. A retired stripper turned professional “Sexy Talker,” she describes her sound as “Slut Tech,” drawing inspiration from Detroit and Chicago ghetto tech while injecting it with high-glam pop theatrics.
As the proud leader of her devoted fan base, “The Sluts” (also known as the Bashfulettes), Miss Bashful continues to spread her message through cult favorites like “Muschi Muschi” and “Slut Commandments.” She has built a reputation for music that feels both empowering and deliciously provocative. Tracks like “Short King Spring” and “Hot Dog & Hot Bitch” showcase her tongue-in-cheek wit and razor-awareness and as a proudly sex-positive artist, Miss Bashful creates music that encourages empowerment, pleasure, and self-expression, all delivered with a sarcastic wink.
Over the years, Miss Bashful has collaborated with producers including DBBD, Stef De Haan, Only Fire, MCR-T, Victoria, X-Coast, GDA, DJ G2g and Vieze Asbak, steadily cementing her status as a disruptive force in the underground dance scene while crossing into high-gloss pop territory. With more to be revealed over the coming months, “Glamour Snobby” is the first introduction to different sides of her persona: power, pleasure, fluid sexuality, dominance, and humor - all wrapped in a fashion-forward pop-techno sound.
