(New York, NY — March 13, 2026) – Just weeks after winning the Female artist of the year at the Victoires de la Musique, Charlotte Cardin continues her international momentum and today unveils "The Way We Touch," a new single that is as sensual as it is appealing, accompanied by a music video. Ever since the first teasers were released over the last few days, anticipation has been building: and now the seemingly endless wait is over with the release of this new magnetic music video.

Following up "Tant pis pour elle," this new luminous pop song unfolds like a wave that finally breaks free. Co-written and produced in Montréal with her longtime collaborators Jason Brando and Sam Avant, the song blends pop, alternative pop and soul pop in a vibrant track that is playful, powerful and irresistibly appealing, driven by dark, sensual tension that lends it an almost hypnotic rhythm. Supported by smouldering saxophone, the track gains depth and sensuality, reinforcing its hypnotic groove.

“This track takes me back to when my sister and I used to film our own music videos with the family VHS camera, while wearing my mother’s jewelry. It’s both playful and freeing, connecting me to the place where my love for music began,” explains the artist.

An elegant, magnetic music video

The official "The Way We Touch" music video, directed by Glenn Michael, accompanies the song’s release and amplifies its sensual, enchanting atmosphere. Through a refined esthetic and stylized images, Charlotte Cardin inhabits a world that is both powerful and vulnerable, where the song’s emotional intensity and sensuality are fully expressed. Anchored in the timelessness of black and white, "The Way We Touch" revisits the visual and emotional codes which marked the artist’s early works, while embracing the clarity, scope and ambition of a contemporary pop artist fully prepared to assert her vision.

A pivotal year

The release of "The Way We Touch" marks a new milestone in a particularly important year for Charlotte Cardin. Recently awarded Female artist of the year at the Victoires de la Musique in France, she remains to date the only artist to have won both the Artist of the Year at the Junos, and the Female Artist of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique in France, an accomplishment that testifies to the truly international reach of her career. The artist is involved in numerous projects and has many international appearances on the agenda, including appearances at the important fashion weeks in Paris and a series of tours and promotions in Europe and North America. The highlight of this series will undoubtedly be her concert on April 30 at the Accor Arena in Paris, a legendary venue with more 15,000 seats, that was sold out almost a year in advance. A consecration for the Montréal artist who is preparing to take the stage at one of Europe’s largest venues in front of a completely captivated audience.
This new song paves the way to a series of musical releases that will lead to a third album expected later this year.
