Today, rising 24-year-old South African singer-songwriter Will Linley shares new single “Think Twice,” out now via Island Records. Listen HERE.

Of the track and EP, Linley expresses, “I am so excited to put out ‘Think Twice’ and announce this EP. After I dropped my album last year, I stepped into a weird phase where I didn't know what I wanted to do creatively. I felt like I’d said everything I wanted to say and had nothing more in the tank. It took me a second to gather myself, but after playing a bunch of shows back home in South Africa, I started falling in love with the feeling again and returned to the roots of why I love making music. Music is about bringing people together and letting them forget what they’re going through for a second and lose themselves in the world that’s been created. There’s something really beautiful about that. These songs were written in Airbnbs and friends’ studios around the world, and I think you can hear that in the music. I focused on having fun and leaning into my intuition. I’m really excited to play these songs live and get back out on the road because I want this feeling to last forever. Could this be forever?”

ABOUT WILL LINLEY:

Will Linley writes songs that actually sound like love. You can practically feel the onset of new romance bubbling through the softly strummed acoustic chords, swirling around in the synths, and magnified by his impressive, expansive voice. The South African singer-songwriter tunes into emotion and amplifies it across alternative pop anthems spiked with sun-soaked energy. Born in Cape Town, he grabbed onto music during his formative years and never let go. Mom and Dad encouraged Will and his brothers to be creative, so the kids often performed “home concerts” highlighted by Stevie Wonder covers. In 2022, his breakout single “miss me (when you’re gone)” exploded on TikTok, translating to over 27 million Spotify streams. He maintained this momentum with the kill all my feelings EP [2022] and magic EP [2023]. The latter yielded “Last Call,” which garnered over 34 million Spotify streams. He performed to rapt crowds not only in South Africa, but throughout North America and Europe. He also supported OneRepublic on the road and graced the bills of major festivals, including Lollapalooza, Barn On The Farm Festival, and Rocking The Daisies, among others. After amassing over 100 million global streams, packing houses on tour, and earning critical acclaim from the likes of Notion, The Line Of Best Fit, Melodic Magazine, and more, he released his full-length debut LP, Don’t Cry Because It’s Over [Island Records], the sonic equivalent of your favorite romcom. Now, Linley steps into his next chapter with his forthcoming EP, Could This Be Forever?, arriving October 30 via Island Records.
