Even drenched in glitter, The Aces can't put out a "Twin Flame"

SAPPHIC DISCO-POP ALBUM SET FOR RELEASE ON
AUGUST 15 VIA SOUNDON — PRESAVE
PLUS UPCOMING FESTIVAL PERFORMANCES AT ALL THINGS GO NY AND DC
“...then the band is absolutely nailing the assignment…proving yet again just how intoxicating a good disco song can be.”
“It’s a strutting, disco ball bowling serve – something undeniably different but also
inescapably brilliant.”
“The magic of The Aces, aside from their natural knack for music, is that the band makes music about girls, for girls, and for girls who like girls.”
Pop band The Aces today release “Twin Flame,” the latest single from their upcoming record Gold Star Baby. Opening like a subtle ballad, the song unfolds layer by layer into a full on, glitter-glossed disco groove. Meant for spending a night on the dance floor sweating out the memory of someone you just can’t shake, The Aces have already declared this summer their own — Stream.
The Aces also today announce the Gold Star Baby World Tour with support from Lydia Night, of The Regrettes. Artist presale begins on July 21 at 10 am local. Local presale begins July 23 at 10 am local, with a Spotify presale the following day at the same time. General on-sale for all tickets begins on July 25 at 10 am local. Ahead of their headline tour, the band will play at both All Things Go Festivals in New York and Washington DC. All tour information can be found here and below.
On the new single, the band shared, “‘Twin Flame’ is about that tortuous in-between of not wanting to let go, but knowing you need to. This song also has a strong Latin influence from the guitar line to the bridge in Spanish. With half of us being Latina, we really wanted to express that part of who we are through this song.”
Last month, the band announced their new sapphic, disco-pop record with the release of the swooning, star-crossed third single “You Got Me.” Sparking a wave of excitement from the likes of Billboard, Dork, Out, Ones to Watch, Spotify’s All New Pop and Soda, plus more, the LP arrives on August 15 via SoundOn.
Gold Star Baby is a metaphorical club in every city where if you know…you know. But everyone and anyone is invited to the best party of the summer. If their previous album is the backstory of discovering their identity, Gold Star Baby is in turn a celebration of queerness and escapist, pure-pop fun. The largely self-produced album isn’t just an evolution for the 4-piece, but where they’ve been headed all along as they shed the weight of painful transparency and allow listeners to see them arrive liberated — Pre-save.

ABOUT THE ACES:
So far evolved from who they were when they first began releasing music in 2017, The Aces deserve the sense of celebration they feel in their new music. With 3 albums, over 250 million streams, and countless other milestones under their belts, sisters Cristal and Alisa Ramirez (lead vocals/guitar and drums), Katie Henderson (lead guitar/vocals), and McKenna Petty (bass) are in full form working toward their 4th LP Gold Star Baby (out August 15 via SoundOn).
“The Magic” is The Aces “most confident single yet” (Dork Magazine), and with “Jealous” and “You Got Me” as their followup releases, they cement that they have no qualms with being the coolest ones in the room. Continuing to reach new pop heights, the band is rapidly becoming one of the genre’s most exciting and authentic voices.
The Aces have toured with the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, X Ambassadors, The Vamps, and COIN, and have played at festivals all over the world, including NY Pride, Lollapalooza, Firefly, Bonnaroo, OUTFEST, Sziget, Pukkelpop and more. During their 2023 headline tour they sold out the international run across the UK, Australia & Japan. In 2024, they opened for Chappell Roan at Kentucky Pride and supported Goth Babe on a US run. So far this summer they have played at Summerfest as they make their way towards All Things Go and a headline tour this fall.
