Hailing from Barranquilla, Colombia, two-time Grammy-nominated artist-writer-producer Golden shares his debut album Saoko Vol. 1 out today via Global 7 Entertainment & Platoon. In celebration, Golden teamed up with Colombian stars Kevin Florez and Yelex for his cinematic “Eso No Va” video out now. This visual is a stunning portrait of Medellin and "a song to let go of the pain, to recognize your worth, and to move forward with style — no hard feelings, just a lesson learned,” says Golden.
Saoko Vol. 1 is a vibrant tribute to Golden’s Afro-Latino roots, blending Afrobeats, Dancehall, and Latin rhythms to celebrate the rich musical heritage of Colombia. Featuring Colombian and Colombian-American artists Venesti, Kevin Florez, ¿Téo?, Yelex, and more, the album reimagines “Saoco” — a Salsa term for flavor, rhythm, and joy rooted in African culture — through a bold, contemporary Colombian lens. A colorful homage to culture and Afro-Caribbean sounds, Golden is a testament to the vibrancy and spirit of Colombia. Saoko Vol. 1 is a bold statement of cultural pride and rhythm-driven storytelling, set to position Golden as the powerful new voice at the intersection of Afro-Caribbean and Latin music.
Golden has collaborated with renowned artists such as Coco Jones, Beéle, Shenseea, Justin Quiles, Lenny Tavárez, Maria Becerra, and Zaider, among others. He has been Grammy-nominated for his work on Coco Jones’ What I Didn't Tell You (Deluxe) and Shenseea’s album Never Gets Late Here. The multi-hyphenate artist is now stepping into the spotlight to share his music, unveiling his unique sound and vision. He’s also been praised by J Balvin, Remezcla, Hola En Español, La Mezcla, and Audiomack Latin.
