Altara Shares New Music: âwillyouwaitformeâ
Today, Irish artist and producer Altara returns with his fresh new offering âwillyouwaitformeâ
Pinning himself as a reliable source for catchy, energetic bites of EDM-fuelled alt-pop, âwillyouwaitformeâ arrives as no exception.
Following on from the release of his EP âaspâ back in March, âwillyouwaitformeâ is about meeting the right person, at the wrong time. Sharing more, Altara explained: âitâs always kinda fun when, after a breakup, you become ready to start seeing new people. I met someone I liked pretty quickly though, too quickly, and suddenly I felt like I was jumping from one thing to another, questioning if I was actually feeling something, or if I was just trying to fill the gaps. Wywfm is about that, because when youâre trying to figure all that out, you can lose someone, and miss out on something that could actually be really good.â
Altara has been keeping busy since he launched last summer. He wrapped up his second EP âaspâ with a dynamic rework of âistillgetthefeelingyoumissmeâ. Released earlier this month, âyourfeelingsâ saw him team up with London-based dark-pop artist REYA to completely reinvent the original solo track. Check it out [HERE].
With momentum building throughout 2024, January saw him level up with the release of âpleasedontleaveâ â a track that shifted his sound in a bold new direction. Clash Magazine described it as âmerging future-pop with widescreen EDM production aspects,â while Nialler9 called Altara âthe closest weâve come to an Irish newcomer sounding like brat-era Charli XCX.â
Altara shared his impressive debut single âSomebody To Loseâ in August and was quick to win over listeners with his playful and punchy first move. The release garnered much attention from the likes of Noctis, Hot Press, Ones to Watch and Kaltblut magazine who said that Altara âemerges as a refreshing anomaly, a maestro of mood and master of melodyâ. adding that âAltara is not just someone to lose sleep overâheâs an artist to keep on constant replay.â In addition WHYTT magazine said that Altaraâs âRetro rhythm beats will make you fall in love with his soundâ
Over the past few years, Altara has been steadily evolving his sound and refining his production skills â growth that continues to unfold in real time. Proudly dynamic and unafraid to push boundaries, Altara is without a doubt an artist to watch in 2025
