December – Southern Virginia native Trxy! shares his captivating new single “Intertwine.” It’s the latest offering from his debut album, Drowning In Bliss, out everywhere in 2026 via UnitedMasters.
“Intertwine” is a dreamy track about being “past the point of no return.” Bold guitars are at the forefront of the track, serving as a complement to his layered vocals as Trxy! laments, “Everything I’ve done still isn’t enough.” Inspired by the balance of heaviness and dreamy guitars from bands like Narrowhead and Swervedriver, the track is meant to inspire emotion. He shares, “If it connects with someone in their own way, that’s all I want.” It’s yet another compelling merge of nu-metal and shoegaze, proving that Trxy! is truly standing firmly in a category of his own.

Drowning In Bliss, Trxy!’s debut full-length album, is set to cement him as a rising force carving his own lane within the new generation that’s propelling shoegaze into the digital age, infused with his distinct nu-metal edge. The record’s 13 tracks plunge deep into themes of depression, suffering, and emptiness, wrapping raw emotion in dense, immersive soundscapes.
Born out of a period of intense personal darkness, loss, and grief, Drowning In Bliss is raw, cathartic, and vulnerable. “I was feeling an overwhelming amount of depression at the time and wanted to express that through this album,” Trxy! shares. Each song stands as its own story, capturing a different shade of pain and reflection, coming together forming a stunningly cohesive sonic journey about what it means to struggle with our own existence. As Trxy! puts it, “Numb to what is real.”
The journey audiences take through Trxy!'s music is made even more remarkable by its humble origins. Created on his phone using BandLab, his songs are grounded by a DIY ethos that amplifies their authenticity, the same honesty that has captivated more than 760,000 monthly Spotify listeners.
“Intertwine” follows previous singles “Closure,” a hazy track about accepting loss, “Forget Me,” mixing grit and vulnerability, and “Backstair Breathing,” a brooding track about resilience and the weight of our emotions. These tracks come on the heels of April’s Eternal EP, buoyed by the 66 million streamed global breakout single, “Realize,” which hit the Top 25 of the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart after its viral success via TikTok. About Trxy!
Trxy! wasn’t alive to witness shoegaze’s rise, but 19-year-old Southern Virginia-based Trey Odell is fearlessly carrying its hypnotic spirit into the present, filtering the ’90s and 2000s through the lens of a generation defined by fractured attention and a neverending search for meaning. Odell got his start on TikTok, crafting shoegaze-inspired songs to soundtrack his retro gaming content. Inspired by genre icons like My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins and Deftones, his music quickly became a way to both channel his creativity and explore his own identity after the passing of his mother. In that grief, Trxy! uncovered both his voice and the emotional core of his art.
