November 14, 2025 – Today, Southern Virginia native Trxy! announces his debut album, Drowning In Bliss, out everywhere February 13th via UnitedMasters. Furthermore, he gives listeners a taste of what they can expect from the upcoming record with new single, “Closure.”
“Closure” sharpens Trxy!’s signature fusion of dreamgaze and nu-metal. Layering hazy guitars with dreamy, distorted vocals, the track reimagines his nostalgic ‘90s and 2000s influences through a modern lens. It’s a bold, meticulously crafted piece that unfolds within a captivating sonic landscape, exploring the emotional complexities of finding closure. “The only way of letting go is by accepting,” Trxy! explains.

Drowning In Bliss, Trxy!’s debut full-length album, cements him as a rising force carving his own lane within the new generation that’s propelling shoegaze into the digital age, infused with his distinct nu-metal edge. Produced and mixed by Grammy winner Lawrence Rothman along with Joe Kennedy, the record’s 13 tracks plunge deep into themes of depression, suffering, and emptiness, wrapping raw emotion in dense, immersive soundscapes.
Born out of a period of intense personal darkness, Drowning In Bliss serves as both confession and catharsis. “I was feeling an overwhelming amount of depression at the time and wanted to express that through this album,” Trxy! shares. Each song tells its own story, capturing a different shade of pain and reflection, yet together forming a cohesive journey meant to resonate with anyone struggling through everyday battles. As Trxy! puts it, “Numb to what is real.”

Trxy! wasn’t alive to witness shoegaze’s rise, but 19-year-old Southern Virginia-based Trey Odell is fearlessly carrying its hypnotic spirit into the present, filtering the ’90s and 2000s through the lens of a generation defined by fractured attention and a neverending search for meaning. Odell got his start on TikTok, crafting shoegaze-inspired songs to soundtrack his retro gaming content. Inspired by genre icons like My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins and Deftones, his music quickly became a way to both channel his creativity and explore his own identity after the passing of his mother. In that grief, Trxy! uncovered both his voice and the emotional core of his art.
