U.S. HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF NOV. 3 IN CHICAGO
+ EUROPE TOUR ANNOUNCED FOR FEBRUARY 2026
Today, Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leif Vollebekk shares a new version of his song “Southern Star,” featuring award-winning Norwegian artist AURORA. The track originates from Vollebekk’s forthcoming short film of the same name, starring both Leif & AURORA together as characters in the story. A music video for “Southern Star,” composed of scenes from the film, accompanies the song released today. The short film Southern Star will premiere at a later date, with additional details to be announced soon.
Conceived by Vollebekk and directed by longtime collaborator and award-winning filmmaker Kaveh Nabatian, the film merges the cinematic tone of Vollebekk’s Revelation album with his visual storytelling.
"Revelation always reminded me of a dream sequence, the songs felt like a little movie, and I wanted to see that movie,” Vollebekk says. “AURORA and I had been fans of each other’s music for years and kept talking about finding the right way to collaborate. When I mentioned I couldn’t find a lead actor for a film I was working on, she simply said, ‘I’ll do it. Come to Norway.’ Two weeks later, we were filming. I can’t thank her enough for what she brought to it - her radiant presence, her generosity, and that unmistakable voice.”

Vollebekk will kick off his U.S. tour in early November 2025, with a newly announced European tour set for February 2026.
The announcement arrives during an extraordinary period for Vollebekk. This fall, he will embark on his largest U.S. headline tour to date, including stops at Webster Hall in New York City and The Bellwether in Los Angeles, followed by a full European tour in February 2026. Earlier this year, he sold out his biggest Australian tour to date and joined Mumford & Sons on their Railroad Revival Tour, as well as supporting Gregory Alan Isakov at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Jacob Collier across Europe. Vollebekk also appeared at the You Got Gold John Prine tribute at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and will perform at Noah Kahan’s Out Of The Blue Festival in early 2026.
His song “Moondog” saw a recent resurgence after a feature in Netflix’s hit series Untamed, charting on Shazam’s Top 10 in Canada and Australia, #13 in the UK, #15 in the U.S., and #35 worldwide.
Vollebekk’s latest album, Revelation, has been hailed by critics and fans alike since its release. Recorded at Sunset Sound and Dreamland in Woodstock, the album feels both spiritual and grounded, an exploration of time, nature, and consciousness that blends narrative lyrics and one-take vocal performances with lush, cinematic arrangements. Inspired by Jung’s I Ching and the science of alchemy, Revelation reflects on the mysteries of the divine and the beauty of impermanence.
An artist’s artist, Vollebekk self-produced Revelation, performing piano, guitar, bass, B3 organ, harmonica, accordion, and Moog synthesizer, alongside a cast of legendary collaborators including Jim Keltner (drums), Cindy Cashdollar (steel guitar), and Shahzad Ismaily (bass), with additional vocals from Angie McMahon and Anaïs Mitchell. The album was mixed by Tchad Blake (Tom Waits, Arctic Monkeys, Tracy Chapman) and mastered by Greg Calbi.
