Emotive and delicate, ‘Nest’ is a charming next move from emerging artist ROSIN.
The fresh new offering is a starry-eyed keepsake depicting the joy of instinctive love.
Sharing more behind the track, ROSIN shared: ‘I fell in love. For the first time in years it was a love that felt healthy and was reciprocated. So the song is about all the little moments that make my heart jump when I think of that person. I really hope that in “Nest” we have caught this playful and carefree feeling of being on cloud nine and daydreaming. A nest is also a metaphor of a home and finding a home in someone.”
Nest is the follow up single to ‘Intention’ which listeners were treated to back in May. The gorgeous track was accompanied by a beautiful video that channeled the track's delicate energy impeccably. Check it out HERE
Intention saw ROSIN find the beauty in intimacy, even if it's temporary. She explained: ‘I found myself wondering how someone can create this intimacy with you, without feeling anything. Although some people might see it as a sad song, as it is about a love that is not reciprocated, I hope that the listener also recognises the beauty of having feelings for someone and how it makes you feel inspired.’
Today’s new single, Nest, and its contrasting symbolism makes for a heartwarming next installment in ROSIN’s journey. The dreamy upload was co-written and co-produced with longtime collaborator ALTROVE (Lorenzo Lorenti) and engineered by Jack Driscoll.
As a daughter of two visual artists, ROSIN’s upbringing in Berlin was rich in creativity. In more recent years she relocated to London via Brighton to pursue her music career. This has seen her sound evolve into a style that is authentically her own. Her enchanting sound toes a line between folk and experimental pop moments with flecks of electronica.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Phoebe Bridgers, James Blake, Arlo Parks and Donna Missal, ROSIN has found a network of fellow creatives, allowing her to evolve her soundscape and develop her gifted approach to writing.
Back in 2021, ROSIN revealed her debut EP ‘Now I’m A Woman’ which saw her reflect on her journey of personal growth. She has evolved to find comfort in being vulnerable with her intimate lyricism aligning flawlessly with her atmospheric arrangements.
Despite it still being early days for ROSIN, she’s well on the way to establishing herself as one of the music industry's most exciting new arrivals. Expressing herself through her music and style, she’s a relatable young voice with a very promising future ahead of her.
