#Freshfind: Soundr Returns with her new sing Easy
SOUNDR drops off New Single "Easy" in Support of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Initiatives
EDM/Alternative Crossover Artist SOUNDR partners with mental health organizations to raise awareness for Suicide Prevention Month with merch drop, partner donations, and collaborative videos
Rising artist SOUNDR release her deeply personal new single, "Easy," coinciding with both her birthday and National Suicide Prevention Month. The track, which lyrically explores the challenges and triumphs of personal mental health, will be at the heart of a multi-faceted initiative aimed at raising awareness and supporting mental health causes.
In conjunction with the release of "Easy", SOUNDR will be launching a comprehensive campaign that includes a merch drop, with a portion of proceeds donated to local organization Peak Mindset Counseling to raise money for those who may not be able to afford therapy and counseling. This initiative is further amplified by a remix pack scheduled for release on September 20th, featuring reinterpretations of "Easy" by artists who resonate with its message and wish to contribute to the cause.
SOUNDR’s commitment to mental health extends beyond music. The campaign will also feature a series of interviews and coverage, shedding light on the importance of mental health awareness. Additionally, collaborative videos created with friends, family, and fellow artists will offer intimate reflections on personal experiences with mental health, inspired by the themes of "Easy."
Artists participating in the remix pack are encouraged to not only reimagine "Easy" but also to create a 15-45 second vertical video sharing their own mental health journeys or how the song influenced their work. These videos will serve as powerful testimonials, furthering the dialogue on mental health.
SOUNDR is honored to use her platform to contribute to such a vital cause and invites fans, artists, and the community to join her in this meaningful endeavor.
“Finding a way to help provide therapy/mental health care for others has been one of my goals, and main driving factors in my career, since I was 16 years old. I’ve been very vocal about my own experiences with mental health, both in my writing and in interacting with listeners, but with ‘Easy’, and the initiatives we’ve created around it, we’re widening the scope. This project is not just about me, or my experiences, or even one singular individual. It is all of us. Every walk of life, every phase, every demographic - all of us. We have all struggled. And we all deserve to see the light and hope and love that’s in the world around us”, said SOUNDR aka Katherine Thomas.
“A reminder for the tough days. It has been one of the most humbling and beautiful experiences of my career to go from ‘I have an idea for this song…’ to having listeners upload their own moments of hope and love to be included in the video AND partnering with a counseling practice here in my own home community to provide therapy via merch sales & donations. It’s an honor to be able to curate this space… To write vulnerable music, to bring people together in these videos, to continue to have these tough conversations and encourage the message of hope and healing. That there is a way through. That we are needed here. “You make it easy to keep my heart beating,” and I am so incredibly grateful. Thank you for being here.”
