EMEI RELEASES “RABBITHOLE”
NEW ELECTRO-POP SINGLE FROM FAST-RISING LA POP ARTIST
MARKS THE START OF MORE TO COME
WORLDWIDE TOUR DATES BEGIN THIS FALL WITH STOPS AT
AUSTIN CITY LIMITS IN AUSTIN, TX AND MORE
Breakthrough pop singer-songwriter Emei arrives today with the release of her new single. “RABBITHOLE” sees the LA artist entering new sonic territory with producer Boy Blue (Flyana Boss, Suki Waterhouse) and signals an exciting future of more to come.
"'RABBITHOLE' sounds and feels like falling and panic and your mind racing," says Emei. "We play with whimsical magical touches and racing sounds and all sorts of breakdowns. It touches upon how even though I’ve tried mantras and affirmations and breathing exercises, it often just makes me fall deeper and deeper down into the rabbithole."
LISTEN TO “RABBITHOLE”
Following the immense success of Emei’s debut album, SCATTERBRAIN, which earned 70 Million streams on Spotify alone and critical praise from the likes of Billboard, People, and Ones to Watch, “RABBITHOLE” continues the early star’s streak of evocative lyricism and solidifies her place as one to watch in the contemporary pop landscape.
Emei spent the first part of this year performing sold-out shows in Europe and at beloved venues in major US cities, such as Los Angeles, CA’s El Rey Theater and New York, NY’s Gramercy Theater. A new run of tour dates kicks off this fall on September 16 in Melbourne, Australia as part of Emei’s first headline shows ever, followed by performances at Austin City Limits in Austin, TX and MetaMoon Music Festival in Brooklyn, NY.
