PERFORMING TONIGHT AT THE BASEMENT, NASHVILLE

Anna Graves, the Minnesota-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, unveils her new Solstice EP, available today at all platforms via Island Records.

Listen to Solstice HERE.

She initially teased the EP with “Made To Love Someone,” “Fly,” “When The Love Is Gone, and, most recently, “Nothing To You.These seven tracks weave together a patchwork of starry-eyed daydreams, journal-worthy confessions, and Midwest magic threaded together tightly by eloquent folk storytelling, raw instrumentation, and alternative experimentation. Anna’s delicate vocals practically melt into warm soundscapes, and her stories make an imprint as permanent as your first tattoo.

Among many highlights, acoustic guitar shuffles through handclaps on “Drugs & Bad Habits, and she declares, “I’m gonna do me for a while.Elsewhere on “Contact High, softly strummed chords brush up against the push-and-pull of her words, "Don’t wanna be best enemies, hate being friends. Then, there’s “Summer Song.Scorned and deceived by a previous fling, breathy vocals echo as she admits, “I’ll stay having no fun in the sun. I kinda hope that summer never comes.

To celebrate the arrival of Solstice, Anna takes the stage at The Basement in Nashville, TN for a special release show tonight. See more details and purchase tickets HERE.

She notably just shared the stage with none other than Stevie Nicks! Anna opened up for her in front of a sold out audience at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN. She enraptured the crowd with songs from Solstice and more.

Earlier this year, “Made to Love Someone” was greeted by over 10,000 people who pre-saved the track prior to its release date. Anna’s words have also caught the attention of heavy hitters like Noah Kahan and Chelsea Cutler.

ABOUT ANNA GRAVES:

Anna Graves is refreshed, both personally and professionally, after returning to her family’s farm in rural southern Minnesota, outside Minneapolis. Her new music, including her 2024 single + video releases, “Fly” and “Made to Love Someone,” feature simple production that puts her vulnerable, ripped-from-her-life lyrics at the forefront. Love is the overarching theme on the album that she’s working on for Island Records—not only romantic love, but also, and perhaps more importantly, self-love—and she’s not afraid to mine her own experiences for inspiration, nor to be extremely forthcoming with the details. “The best that I can do,” Graves says, “is just write something that’s completely true to me. How else are people gonna relate to something?” Anna was introduced on LAVA / Island in 2023, with Easy For You and In The Wild.” The honesty of “Easy For You” seeped through the cracks like glimmers of light underneath a locked door, revealing another side of Anna, who composes with the candor of a late-night conversation where nothing is off the table. The video explored themes of solitude, reflection, coming home, and running away again. Filming took place at Anna’s family horse farm – an old, restored rectory in small-town Minnesota. Director Hannah Edelman (King Princess, Lexi Jayde, K Flay) let the biting cold and first snow of the Minnesota season set the stage for the ethereal, contemplative visual, exploring the death of oneself and the birth of another.
