PLEASE HELP ME I’M SCARED

Since releasing his viral debut project No Substance Mixtape last summer, Walter The Producer has proven that if there’s one thing he doesn’t lack, it’s substance.

The enigmatic and multi-talented artist – whose real name is Reid – is bursting with creative energy. He is scrupulous and meticulous, bold, and inventive. And sure, he doesn’t say much. But he doesn’t need to. His music speaks for itself.

Now, the 21-year-old is releasing “PAMPLEMOUSSE,” the first single from his forthcoming new multi-part project, PLEASE HELP ME I'M SCARED.

PAMPLEMOUSSE” officially drops on February 27.  The video is set for release on March 1.

"We made this song when I went to L.A. to do some sessions back in May,” shares Walter The Producer

“The first day I was there, I linked up with a dope producer named Max Morando. We clicked immediately and started jamming. Halfway through he asked if I wanted something to drink and I said sure. He brought back a couple of sparkling waters and when he handed me one, I noticed that the flavor was called ‘Pamplemousse’. So, when we finished the song, that’s what we named it.”

Born and raised on the south shore of Massachusetts, Walter The Producer started playing guitar and piano at the age of 10, and was making beats by the time he was 13. He produces, mixes, and masters all his own music.

Walter The Producer’s viral debut project, No Substance Mixtape (released via Slumbo Labs), features the buzzy single, “Since September” and has the artist landed on an impressive number of personal playlists.

Walter The Producer’s most recent one-off singles, "THEY TOOK THE NIGHT," “MUST BE THE AIR” and “SLOW DOWN” have all drawn critical acclaim.

“[Walter The Producer] defies time and genre, making standstill music that will hold up no matter where it lands,” declared ONES TO WATCH.

Walter The Producer draws inspiration from artists like Tame Impala, Steve Lacy, and Childish Gambino. His eclectic blend of alt-indie and disco pop has already made a lasting mark on the musical landscape. And while his music is all we really know of him; it tells us plenty: Walter The Producer feels deeply. And he’s fueled by pure, raw talent.
