We Crashed Old Dominion pop up show in Detroit but we weren't the only ones who did too!
What a fun night we had. We had the chance to catch Old Dominion’s pop-up show at St. Andrew’s Music Hall in Detroit, Michigan. If you had been following the band, you knew they were doing these one-off shows while supporting Kenny Chesney on his tour; it was just a matter of when and where. Fans waited either by their phones or on the radio on where last night’s show was going to be. The moment the location was set up, fans rushed to St. Andrew’s. Some have been waiting since seven in the morning; Some have even traveled from Tampa and Pittsburgh to this location, They even convinced a few Tiger fans to skip the game, But all were there to see them on a homecoming night.
With a warm welcome and a few drinks, Old Diminon played a few fan favorites before Kenny Chesney interrupted the night. Quite literally causing a roar of excitement. It was a real treat to see and caused us to do a double-take. They all performed “Save It For a Rainy Day” at St Andrew’s Hall was a returned favor. Chesney has been calling Ramsey and Tursi out to play the song during his own sets as a treat for his fans. The songwriter/superstar says of their collaborative chemistry, “There’s no substitute for good friends on a stage, playing music and having fun. It’s what makes being in a band so great – and every time I sing with OD, it feels like kids in a garage somewhere.”
After the party crasher left, it was back to favorites, a Foo Fighter’s cover, and a few new songs. Overall it was a fun night, and we couldn’t be happier to participate in the party. We met some amazing fans, and we cannot wait to hear your thoughts.
You can still catch them on tour, tonight they will be at Ford Fields with the party crasher Kenny Chesney.
