Japan’s MGA Announce Sixth Original Full-Length Album, Out September 30, Alongside Major Arena Tour
TOKYO, JAPAN — Global J-pop phenomenon Mrs. GREEN APPLE (MGA) have announced their sixth original full-length album, set for release on Wednesday, September 30 via EMI Records / Universal Music Japan, alongside newly revealed artist visuals and a nationwide arena tour.
The announcement was made during a live broadcast of their signature variety program TV × Mrs., aired from Tokyo on June 15. The band also unveiled a new artist photo, and confirmed a nationwide arena tour spanning 13 cities and 28 performances - their first arena tour in approximately three years.
The announcement follows a landmark run for MGA, including the second edition of “CEREMONY,” their self-produced two-day event at K-Arena that brought together a diverse lineup of artists to celebrate one another’s music and culture, as well as a standout showing at MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026, Japan’s largest international music awards program. There, the band secured their second consecutive Best Artist award and earned five additional honors recognizing achievements across songs, creators, fans, and staff - underscoring the strength of the wider “Team MGA” ecosystem behind their success.
Earlier this year, they were also the only Japanese act featured on the 2025 IFPI Global Artist Chart, ranking No. 13 alongside global artists including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Bad Bunny. That momentum is backed by scale: more than 16 billion domestic streams, 34 songs surpassing 100 million streams, and a five-dome tour drawing over 550,000 fans - cementing MGA as one of Japan’s most dominant and globally resonant contemporary acts.
The album will include previously performed and fan-favorite tracks including “Variety,” “Carrying Happiness,” “Summer Shadow,” “GOOD DAY,” “lulu.,” and “Wind and Town,” among others. The album title will be announced at a later date.
Now entering their “Phase 3” era in 2026, MGA continues to expand globally while maintaining the sense of play, surprise, and connection that defines their world.
