Multi-Genre Chart-Topping Songwriter Debuts New Single

Nashville, TN (September 5, 2025) –  Chart-topping songwriter Jaxson Free returns to his artist roots with the release of his new single  “Get Go.” With a galloping beat, soothing acoustic guitar and southern inflections, Free captures the feeling of a situationship that never stood a chance. The North Carolina native's raw and soulful vocals are at the front and center of the song, giving it an emotional weight with tones that are somehow both gravelly and silky.
Following a string of indie releases, one of which even made “President Obama's Favorite Songs of 2019” playlist, Free moved to Nashville from Raleigh, signed to Goat Island and has become one of the most in-demand songwriters; penning hits for everyone from Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Lana Del Rey, Quavo and more. In a short time, Free already has three Country No. 1 hits under his belt including Kane and Katelyn Brown's “Thank God,” Kane Brown's "I Can Feel It” and last month's multiweek chart-topper “After All The Bars Are Closed” from Thomas Rhett. Produced by Chris LaCorte and written with label-mate Jacob Hackworth as well as Ned Cameron, Adrien Nunez, Chase McDaniel and LaCorte, “Get Go” is Free's first single release with Goat Island.

“My buddy, Chase, threw out the line 'she was gone from the get go' and I immediately thought back to a time I fell for this girl who always seemed like she had her sights somewhere else but I couldn't help myself and jumped in it headfirst,” shared Jaxson Free. “I feel like we've all had that kind of thing where you get lost in the heat of it all and it's hard to see through the smoke. When you fall for a candle in the wind, you're left with nothing but ashes in the end.”

In addition to the song, Free also released a lyric video for “Get Go” which represents the love that went up in flames. Watch the lyric video HERE.

Free is currently working on new music and gearing up to announce touring plans. For more information follow Jaxson on InstagramFacebookTikTok and YouTube or visit his website here.

ABOUT JAXSON FREE:

Jaxson Free is an extraordinarily rare creative force who can play multiple instruments, sing, write, produce and entertain audiences of all kinds. The virtuoso has earned millions of streams as an independent artist with sounds ranging from sleek R&B to alt-leaning Pop —and with his new single “Get Go” he adds a touch of his new home of Nashville. Recruited to Music City by Goat Island, since signing with Kos Weaver and his team, Free has landed scores of multi-genre major label cuts (Bailey Zimmerman, Dom Innarella, Maddox Batson and more) as well as four No. 1 hits including the crossover smash by Kane and Katelyn Brown, “Thank God,” Kane Brown's "I Can Feel It” and  Thomas Rhett's “After All The Bars Are Closed.”

The in-demand creator has caught the attention of many—from President Obama (his Raleighwood Hills project with Lesthegenius and Sonny Miles was added to “President Obama's Favorite Songs of 2019” playlist) to Jelly Roll who gushed about Free and his talents on This Past Weekend with Theo Von, saying “Remember his name. This kid's going to have 30-40 No.1's.”
