Rolling Stone called Let Me Fly “a project where fans get the Rob49 they know and love.”

New Orleans rapper Rob49, named because he grew up between NOLA’s Fourth and Ninth Wards, began rapping in 2020 and quickly gained industry attention, signing a record deal that same year. A slew of mixtapes followed and in 2021, he released his debut studio album, 4GOD, with Welcome to Vulture Island coming in 2022, and 4GODII in 2023. In 2025, he released Let Me Fly, which included features from hip hop heavyweights like Birdman, G Herbo, Cardi B, Lil Wayne and more.
“I knew ‘WTHELLY’ might be big, but I’m not gonna lie, to be a game changer is crazy,” Rob explained to The FADER, “The only thing I wanted out of ‘WTHELLY’ was to change the culture and make people start saying ‘what the helly’ – but it wind up being bigger than that forreal.”
On the horizon, Rob49 gears up to embark on his debut national headline “Let Me Fly” tour this Fall.
