Multi-platinum Hip Hop artist Obie Trice returns today, September 12th, with a powerful new single, “TBH” (To Be Honest), released via Greenback Records. The track delivers the grit, raw storytelling, and razor-sharp lyricism that have made Obie one of hip hop’s most respected voices.

Obie first cemented his reputation under Eminem’s Shady Records before launching his own label, BME. His move to Greenback Records now places him on the same roster as fellow hip hop legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and longtime friend and collaborator Xzibit.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Obie Trice was introduced to Eminem through mutual friends D12, which led to him becoming one of Shady Records’ flagship artists alongside D12 and 50 Cent. His early career included standout features on D12’s Devil’s Night, Eminem’s landmark 2002 album The Eminem Show, and the 8 Mile soundtrack.

Obie’s debut solo album, Cheers (2003), went multi-platinum worldwide, with features from Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and Nate Dogg - firmly establishing him as a force in hip hop. His 2006 follow-up, Second Rounds On Me, brought another international hit with the Akon-assisted single “Snitch,” further proving his global impact.

Now five albums deep into a prolific career, Obie is entering a new era: new music, a new label, and an upcoming UK and European tour this October, with tickets on sale now.
