(Los Angeles, CA – September 12, 2025) – Kungs is one of the most prominent names in the French electronic scene, and will make his long-awaited return with his first single of 2025 “Light Me Up” in collaboration with PNAU. Kungs, a.k.a Valentin Brunel, is a French DJ, producer, and musician, who quickly rose to fame with his first album Layers in 2016, which included his global smash hit “This Girl” with Cookin’ on 3 Burners and was #1 in France, Germany and Switzerland, as well as #2 on the UK Singles Chart (it has since reached multi-platinum record status with over 1 billion Spotify streams). His whole catalogue cumulates more than 14 billion streams worldwide. He went on to play some of the biggest festival stages in the greater dance scene, including the Main Stage at Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland and Coachella. Other notable hits include “Don’t You Know” feat. Jamie N Commons and “Never Going Home” and « Clap Your Hands » from his 2022 album Club Azur.
Now, he’s launching a new era of artistry, sporting a sonic DNA inspired by the iconic French + international underground club culture. “Light Me Up” will kick things off. The track is a team-up with multi-platinum, Australian electronic trio PNAU, which includes Nick Littlemore from the beloved band Empire of the Sun (best known for hits like “Changes” and a remix of Elton John and Dua Lipa’s international hit “Cold Heart” (with 2B+ Spotify streams). It will launch with an official music video that captures the energy-fueled, chaotic essence of the club track.
