Artist, songwriter, and acclaimed producer Eric Zayne has announced his upcoming album, Sunset & La Brea, due out on August 22 via ASTRA Records. A testament to Eric’s unique musical journey, the new album weaves the rich tapestry of his early musical influences with the innovative edge of today's sounds. It is poised to be a vibrant fusion of eras, capturing the essence of timeless classics through a modern lens.
Alongside today’s announcement, Zayne has also shared new single “Stupid Love Songs.” Speaking on the release, Eric comments: “I wrote and produced this song in 3 hours, it kind of wrote itself. I just wanted to write a feel good, old school, retro funk song. So I did. I pulled from my Bootsy Collins influence on the chorus of this one. You know that feeling when you smile so hard you feel stupid cause you’re in love? That’s what this song is about.”

A multi-faceted and versatile talent, Eric's sound is as unique as his background. Raised in the Congo, he was suddenly evacuated to Montreal as a child without his family due to a civil war. As a refugee in Montreal and out of contact with everyone he ever knew, Eric found solace in music, dedicating and teaching himself how to play multiple instruments and learning how to sing, write and produce.
Eric has since gone on to collaborate with some of the biggest names in music including H.E.R., Cee Lo Green, Dallas Austin, Matisyahu, Jordin Sparks, Walter Afasanief, Richard Marx, Randy Jackson among others and has garnered much success in film and TV, producing and writing soundtracks for movies such as Arctic Dogs, Daddy’s Home 2, Red One, Red Notice, Black Adam, Super Pets, Cobra Kai and Guest House.
