We caught up with Tom Sandoval and The Most Extras at District 142

Also, Tom Schwartz was there, too!

We don’t usually find ourselves at a cover band show, but it was the first day of summer, and we still needed to shake off the spring rain blues. Which meant it was time for a field trip over to Wyandotte to District 142 to find out what the commotion was all about. Fans of the popular shows Vanderpump Rules, Traitors, and America’s Got Talent line up around the block (twice) to dance and chat with Tom Sandoval as well as Tom Schwartz from the show. Fans adorn themselves not only with custom t-shirts but also past tour shirts, as this wasn’t their first time here.

Tom Sandoval, who was just on America’s Got Talent, wanted to perform for a few special cities, and we were all in for a treat, as this was going to be a non-stop party. As fans waited outside to get in, Tom Schwartz showed up to take a few photos with the fans before heading inside. Once all the fans were inside, they had an opportunity to ask both Toms a question on slips of paper while an opening act warmed up the crowd.

The night began with both Toms introducing themselves and answering the questions that fans had submitted. After that, the fans had a chance to win merch in Tom Schwartz's attempt at a “hard game” of trivia. Fans were already shouting the answer before Tom could say a few words. They were pumped and ready for a good time, and that meant a toast was in order. Tom Sandoval brought out a bottle of their Tom’s Good Lovin and poured out a few shots as Tom Schwartz passed them out to fans.

After the toast, it was time to dance. As we mentioned earlier, the night was going to be a great time with good vibes, and that meant playing a mix of 80s and late 2010s hits to keep the vibes high. This also meant a little fun here and there was in order, as they changed the words from 'Jessie’s Mom' to 'Schwartz's Mom'; dancing in the crowd, and, of course, letting the fans sing along with Tom.

Tom did perform ‘Take on Me”, noting to the audience his time on AGT. What we thought was an interesting choice for the night was playing a deep cut from The 1975 (Love It If We Made It) as well as a trumpet rendition of the Pink Panther theme song. Great vocals and a fantastic band are all you need to make the night special for an audience. As well as an opportunity to meet both Toms after the show. Hundreds of people line the walls of the building to meet and take a photo with both of them. The night was one we won’t forget, and if you need to shake off any bad vibes, check to see if Tom and the rest of the extras are in your area.
