Releases New Single “Never Whatever”

Debut Album Get Fluffy Out Later This Year

June 13, 2025 – Rural Canadian Techno supergroup CVCHE have released their new single “Never Whatever,” a bewildering symphony in a world where never meets whatever. PRESS HERE to listen to “Never Whatever” which marks the fifth track from CVCHE’s forthcoming debut album Get Fluffy, out later this year as part of an ongoing quest to make releasing music as fun as creating it.

“This track takes you on a journey through the land of no and maybe…where it never rains and whatever reigns, blending sounds that make you question everything... and nothing,” shares CVCHE. “Perfect for dancing, pondering, or just whatever-ing. We hope that makes no sense. (We heard you, David Byrne!)”

Harnessing the powerhouse talents of Jimmy Shaw (Metric, Broken Social Scene), Liam O’Neil (Kings of Leon), Dave Hodge (Broken Social Scene, Leisure Cruise), and conceptual artist Jon Morris (Windmill Factory, NOWHERE.io) to quietly redefine a genre of electronic music that no one asked to be redefined, CVCHE (pronounced “Ceviche”) recently released “Bitcoin Takes A Hit” alongside their very own memecoin $FLUFFY which offers token holders VIP perks including early access to merch, tickets, and exclusive events. “Bitcoin Takes A Hit” also soundtracked the latest level in CVCHE’s custom-designed videogame where you guide CVCHE’s pixelated fish mascot and spiritual leader Fluffy through landscapes synced with the band’s music on a mission to save his reef. PRESS HERE to play.

Making a name for themselves with their own brand of techno (a term used loosely and with love in the same way people say "salad" when referring to Jell-O with marshmallows in it), CVCHE’s singles – including previous releases “Welcome To CVCHE,” “Eyes of Darkness,” and “Get Fluffy” – were created using a large collection of analog, vintage synthesizers from the band’s tiny sovereign nation in Canada where the only club in town is your own waxed floor.

First coming together in 2022 to remix Metric’s “All Come Crashing,” CVCHE began organically at Jimmy Shaw’s hideaway on a river in the Canadian countryside, a place which quickly became known for creative hangs, good food, great music, and its enviable “sock jams” – sliding around in big socks on a slippery wood floor to the downbeat techno of The Field, Jon Hopkins, and Boards of Canada. Inspired to make their own brand of “sock jam” techno, CVCHE began work on their upcoming debut album Get Fluffy. Recording the collection over the course of a year while moonlighting in some of the biggest rock bands in the world, CVCHE are now unveiling the project piece by piece and – with possibly the best merch in the indie electronic scene – deeply encourage you to grab your headphones, break out your fluffiest socks, and press play wherever you stream your bangers as nightclubs are overrated and drinks at home don’t cost $18.
