Arriving as the first bite from their upcoming EP, ‘be mine’ is a slick, soothing bop, paving the way for what looks to be a brilliant next chapter. Blissful harmonies and warm, sunkissed beats, showcase the developing style of this eclectic band.
Pulling from a wild mix of influences, strongboi have cultivated an innovative sound that is truly their own. Recorded at Thump and Diamond Mine in NYC, the track boasts old school inspiration, while simultaneously displaying fresh ideas that frame ‘be mine’ as a daring and delightful love song to cherish.
Produced by strongboi, ‘be mine’ is here just a few days before their London Village Underground show (5/03/25). Together with their trusted live band, strongboi will pull out all the stops with their signature array of multiple synths, guitars, drums and dreamy vocals, a set up that won them the Anchor Award for best newcomer at the Reeperbahn Festival in September of 2024.
strongboi is a passion fueled project of long time friends & collaborators Alice & Ziv. They began with a super lo-fi vision of using mainly casio keyboards & toys, but today they have filled out and evolved as a full band project.
They released their self-titled debut album back in 2023 which took shape as a 7-track compendium of bouncing bangers and smooth, rolling grooves, all delivered with charming authenticity. Since they launched, strongboi have accumulated much acclaim, including warm words from the likes of NPR, Clash, Notion, COLORS and KCRW, not to mention being hand picked by Elton John for his Rocket Hour. With their loyal fanbase racking up over 20 million streams, people will be thrilled to learn that strongboi are back and ready to douse you in their signature slinky, superb ear-worms.
