Los Angeles, CA | December 10, 2025 - Rising Glimmer Rock artist Vienna Vienna returns today with “Buzz,” an indie rock gem bursting with attitude, grit, and his signature razor-sharp lyricism. The track arrives alongside the announcement of his new EP Entertain Me, set for release January 16 via PULSE Records and Pete Wentz’s DCD2 Records.

Powered by fuzzy guitars, punchy drums, and a cheeky tambourine, “Buzz” channels a restless, wry energy as Vienna Vienna leans into moments of existential static and overstimulated disconnection. The song spirals through vivid snapshots - “hold on wait a minute, put your back into it. I’ve seen a devil, I’ve seen a devil buzz. How much is $8 now? They’re killing people for $8 now” - capturing the pressure cooker of modern life with biting wit and emotional clarity. Across the track, he delivers lines soaked in anxiety, longing, and stark reflection.

“My favorite songs about modern life speak to its overwhelming nature in a way that allows it  to feel as it is, completely disorienting. Phoebe Bridgers’ ‘I know the End’ is a perfect example of this. What I did with ‘Buzz’, either intentionally or unintentionally, was to lay out these dizzying burdens and then try to wrap them up in a neat little bow,” shares J.

Further adding, “We’re not really supposed to have so many insane and terrible things hit us all at the same time, it's created this ‘doomerism’ where it all feels pretty much hopeless. A lot of the response to that from a younger generation is to ‘party’.  Ignore setting up a future because it all feels pointless - a future where it will be too hot to even go outside. ‘Buzz’ is that - it’s about life. I try to capture as much of that as I can and wrap it up with the sentiment, ‘all this social interaction, I’d kill for satisfaction.’ ‘Buzz’ is how you feel after a drink settles, the ringing in your ears after a concert. It's distortion, the hum of fluorescent lighting. Plain old unstoppable noise.”

“Buzz” follows the EP’s first two tracks, “Idle Hands” and “Company Hunting.” The latter, co-written with hitmaker Justin Tranter (Chappell Roan, Imagine Dragons, Julia Michaels, Justin Bieber), showcased Vienna Vienna’s ability to fuse introspection with massive hooks - a thread that continues to evolve through this newest offering. “Idle Hands,” which blends upbeat 80s pop elements with modern indie rock, further highlights his ability to turn chaos, humor, and anxiety into cathartic, dance-ready songwriting.

Developed in a period of personal clarity and artistic expansion, Entertain Me came into focus as he began interrogating the ways modern life demands distraction. “Entertain Me is a tour of the distractions in life and how they affect our happiness,” he says. “Whether it be drugs, the internet, or something more tangible, they all pull focus away from reality. What’s the best way to get back into your own skin? Dance. I just really wanted to dance again.”

With momentum steadily rising and a bold new chapter underway, 2026 is shaping up to be a major year for Vienna Vienna. Fans can expect more music, more shows, and a world that continues to grow wider, weirder, and more joyously unapologetic with every release. Stay tuned.

ABOUT VIENNA VIENNA:

Vienna Vienna is always waiting for his next chance to take the stage, to electrify an audience with his signature Glimmer Rock sound. For J, the multi-instrumentalist behind the project, performance is catharsis, connection, and release. His debut EP Wonderland - released in October 2024 via PULSE Records and Pete Wentz’s DCD2 - introduced a world shaped by queerness, self-acceptance, and emotional release, establishing him as a rising voice within the alternative landscape.

In early 2025, he broke out with the viral single “God Save The Queens”, a defiant celebration of queer identity that amassed over one million streams and sparked a wave of fan support. Its neon-lit video, featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race star Salina Es Titties, became an instant rallying point for the LGBTQIA+ community, and a portion of proceeds from his limited-run merch supported the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Onstage, Vienna Vienna is electric. His performances radiate emotional intensity, queer joy, and a magnetic unpredictability that feels both intimate and explosive. He captivated audiences on his support runs with K.Flay and Valley, and dazzled at headline shows across California, transforming every room into a space of communal release. As his fanbase continues to grow, so does the world he’s building - one where strangeness is celebrated, connection is central, and the live show is the beating heart of it all.

Now entering his new era with the Entertain Me EP, Vienna Vienna leans into groove-driven production and sharp, self-aware songwriting. Singles like “Idle Hands” and “Company Hunting” showcase his blend of 80s pop energy, modern indie rock, and introspective lyricism, including collaborations with hit songwriter Justin Tranter. Confident, cathartic, and a little bit chaotic, Vienna Vienna continues to build a world where strangeness is celebrated and community comes first.
