Today, Cleveland, OH-based alt/psych-pop artists Radderall and Muzzy Fossa share their collaborative concept album The Club Is Open out now via Wax Mage Records alongside disco/psych track "Duplicity Life" and its spirited video. With the cerebral, gilded project, the duo seamlessly blur the line between irony and sincerity through expansive production and dynamic storytelling. The Radderall Live Band will tour around the Midwest and East Coast next month, find tickets here.

The texturally rich, neon-lit record, The Club Is Open is a conceptual journey built around a story of duality, and the search for a mythical venue called The Club: two characters navigating the tension between chasing short-term dopamine—through vanity, fleeting love, or ego—and pursuing something meaningful, like real love, honest connections, friendship, and self-discovery. Utilizing the naming convention R.A.M. (Radderall & Muzzy Fossa), the album frames a narrative of resilience and growth—symbolizing resurrection, transformation, and the ability to find renewal after destruction.

Radderall (Zach Taneyhill) & Muzzy Fossa (Nathan Hunt)’s work is theatrical and ethereal yet deeply human, blending analog charm, R&B-inflected grooves, psych-pop soundscapes, and vintage synth textures into a sound that is strange, surreal, and emotionally resonant. As Taneyhill describes it, the album is “a world unto itself—a place we built so we could get lost and maybe find a little meaning in the process.”

"Duplicity Life" dives into life's dichotomies with hazy vocals and disco-tinged dreamy production. It establishes the record's theme, "One? Two? The Devil, or God? Life & Death. To Be, or not to Be. The dance of duality is a tightrope routine." Taneyhill explains the song, "explores the feeling of living two different lives, socially, romantically, emotionally, sexually, and in a personal and business sense. The outcome of this personal tension, and the balance of dark and light, plays itself out on the remainder of the record."

Sonically, the bands were inspired by J-Pop like “Plastic Love” by Mariya Takeuchi and used their Juno 106 and Roland JX-3P for much of the foundation of the track. The guitar work by Jonny McAllister is a slick nod to Nile Rogers and his work with Daft Punk and Elton John.

On the playful self-directed and edited video that allows the band to let loose with a DIY spirit on a green screen, Taneyhill says, "It leans into the theme of duality even more, juxtaposing imagery of an old man and young man, the devil and god, comedy and tragedy masks, and party guys versus businessmen."

Named after the street Muzzy Fossa (Nathan Hunt) grew up on, October's "Lana Lane" recalls the innocence and freedom of childhood. On the record, the track intentionally sits near the end, the last step before the album's characters return to their roots in "Planted."

With spacious production infused with an early 2000s R&B flair and a tropical feel, the previously shared "Planted" which arrived in September is a tender ode to self-love and being one with the Earth and environment, which arrives towards the end of the album. Music N Gear wrote the track is, "a psychedelic dream from the 1970s, floating down to your ears from a shimmering cloud in the kaleidoscopic sky. This is a blend of lush analog textures with trippy vocals."

In August, the pair shared “Movies” and “Every Minute”—the third and fourth releases from their upcoming concept album The Club Is Open—offer vivid glimpses into a strange, theatrical world built on vintage textures and lo-fi experimentation.

With a partnership rooted in curiosity, friendship, and experimentation, the duo are ready to share a world of their own that chronicles truth, growth, and self-discovery while showcasing their love of drum programming, vintage synths, and analog textures.

ABOUT RADDERALL

Radderall is a Cleveland-based multimedia music project founded in 2012 by Zach Taneyhill and trusted collaborator, Jonny McAllister. What began as two friends creating and trading songs through MacBook’s Garageband, has grown into a layered studio and live act blending dream pop, shoegaze, glam rock, lo fi R&B, and psych infused indie rock with cinematic visual storytelling.

In the studio, Taneyhill leads songwriting and production while McAllister contributes instrumentation and co-writing. Together the duo created the albums Vakation (2018) and If Ever (2020). Drummer Alexander Eliopolous joined in 2021, solidifying the core trio. Together, they self-recorded and produced their third record,  How Can I? (2022). The album marked a pivotal shift for the project and featured the collaborative title track “How Can I?” with Muzzy Fossa. Later in 2022, they joined the Wax Mage Records roster.

Radderall’s lush recordings translate into immersive live performances featuring Taneyhill (vocals, synthesizers), McAllister (guitar, vocals), Eliopolous (drums), and Ryan Fletterick (bass), The group has become a Cleveland scene cornerstone, and  has shared stages with Nick Hakim, Donny Benet, and Welshly Arms, with festival appearances at Cleveland’s Brite Winter Fest, Ingenuity Fest, Wax Mage Records Fest, and Cincinnati Rock ’N’ Roll Carnival.

Their latest chapter includes the collaborative album with Muzzy Fossa titled, The Club Is Open, a three video arc and full length concept record releasing October 31, 2025. Today, Radderall stands as a dynamic creative universe shaped by storytelling, a DIY spirit, and deep ties to Cleveland’s underground arts scene.
