Rooted in his signature pop sensibility, “OLDER” is a breakup song that signifies clarity, self-worth, and growth. “‘OLDER’ is about getting dumped by someone and, after some time, realizing all the bad parts about that relationship and that person,” Germano shares. “By the time they wanted to get back together, I had fully moved on and, if anything, felt sorry for how miserable they were doing without me.”
The song serves as a sequel to Germano’s previous release “sorry i'm a mess”, picking up where the heartbreak left off and shifting the narrative toward self-empowerment. “sorry i’m a mess" is another breakup song that ends with 'I know it's a matter of time / Until you look in the mirror / And wish I was by your side'. 'OLDER' is about how that prediction became true” Germano explains.
Nostalgic yet forward-looking, “OLDER” showcases Germano’s talent for turning personal experiences into relatable songs. Born in Brazil and now based in New York, Germano draws from a rich tapestry of musical influences that span cultures and genres - a dynamic fusion clearly heard in the sonic textures of “OLDER.”

Born into a musical family in Brazil, Germano takes pride in being a full-package D.I.Y. artist, writing and recording all lyrics and melodies from his bedroom. In addition, his background as a trained actor while living in Los Angeles for over a decade led him into photography and filmmaking – he creates and edits all of his own visuals.
He started his singing career by posting song covers with his unique take on his Youtube channel. Since debuting with his single “Lost Crowd” in 2019, he has amassed thousands of followers online and received support from publications such as NOTION, EARMILK, PopDust, We Found New Music, Acid Stag, and more.
After a four-year break, Germano returned to music in 2024 with the release of the hip-hop-influenced singles "sorry i'm a mess" and "panic!" In his upcoming single, "OLDER," Germano's songwriting shines with his catchiest chorus to date. Co-produced by himself, the pop record is a breakup song filled with bright synths and guitars over a vintage texture. "OLDER" is about having fully moved on from a breakup where the other person ended the relationship and now regrets their decision. Infusing his sense of humor in the lyrics, Germano details how positive the breakup was for him in the end, while the other person begs him to take them back. An accompanying visualizer created by the singer will be released with the track.
