In 2023, Destroy Lonely saw unparalleled success and critical acclaim. With the release of his debut album If Looks Could Kill, his career soared to new heights. Within just 24 hours of its release, the album climbed to No. 1 on Apple Music. On Spotify, it garnered nearly 10 million streams, marking his biggest streaming day ever, while also securing a spot in the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. Prior to If Looks Could Kill, Lonely generated significant momentum with the release of his mixtape NO STYLIST, featuring the title track "NOSTYLIST," which has since been certified Gold by the RIAA. This project not only garnered critical acclaim but also earned him placements on numerous "Artist to Watch" lists for 2023, including Rolling Stone, Complex, Billboard, Pigeons & Planes, Alt Press, and more.

Beyond music Lonely has made significant strides by teaming up with designer, Matthew Williams (formerly of Givenchy) to curate an exclusive merch collection, graced two iconic Marc Jacobs campaigns, starred in a Bose campaign, and even lunched his own limited edition Vitamin Water flavors, called “Look Killa Juice.”  His bold ventures across multiple creative domains not only showcased his versatility but also cemented his status as a true innovator. This year, the Opium artist has continued to stay active. He collaborated with producer, Southside and label-mate Ken Carson on “President,” and joined forces with Atlanta's own, Quavo on “Potato Loaded.” He kicked off the summer with an electrifying performance at Coachella and took the stage in Chicago at Lyrical Lemonades, Summer Smash. With each new release, he unveils another layer of his artistry, heralding the arrival of a new era of Destroy Lonely waiting to be unlocked.
