With Spring officially in full swing, summer feels right around the corner and Brooklyn’s Young Rising Sons are bringing the warmer weather vibes with their latest indie rock anthem “(Un)Happy Hour”. The latest track from the quartet is fun, quirky and feels like an instant classic. Self-described as unapologetically honest and paired with lyrics that include “perfectly broken, at least in the moment”, despite its name “(Un)Happy Hour” will in fact make you very happy, making it nearly impossible not to smile and dance a bit while listening.
Listen to “(Un)Happy Hour” HERE!
On the latest single, Young Rising Sons’ Andy Tongren vocalist shares “Everything in life comes down to timing, & each wrinkle in time leaves its unique mark on the trajectory of our existence. ‘(Un)Happy Hour’ is about embracing the timing of life’s unpredictable and trying moments juxtaposed with finding solace and connection amidst the adversity. Even in the chaos when we veer off course and find ourselves in our own personal “(Un)Happy Hour,” there’s still room for resilience and growth, offering us the opportunity to to emerge stronger on the other side.”
Over the course of their career, Young Rising Sons has over 400k monthly Spotify listeners and accumulated well over 100 million streams, including major hits to fans favorites “SAD (Clap Your Hands)”, “King of the World”, “Carry On”, and “In My Room”. The band has an extensive touring history too. Sharing the stage with Halsey, The 1975, The Neighborhood, and Weezer in addition to Made In America, Firefly, and Dusk festivals.
Catch Young Rising Sons on the road this Spring with 44Blonde, Diva Bleach and Lemondrop on select dates. The headlining tour kicks off April 12th in Washington DC.
