#Live: We caught Savanna Leigh set on the Thanksging Break Tour

And just like that, we made it in time to catch up with Savanna Leigh as she took the stage at the legendary Loving Touch in Ferndale. To her surprise, the crowd was familiar with her music, which made for an interesting experience later in the set. She started the night playing Let Myself Cry and Happier Songs before going into her favorite song, Indigo. Before she even attempted to ask the audience to play either a Coldplay or Gracie Abram song, fans immediately shouted out for her to play the Gracie cover.

After that, she played an old and new song (with a working title called You Don’t Even Exist) before asking the audience what song they would like to hear. A mega fan who we chatted with before the show shouted out Misery. This may have stumped Savanna a little as this song had been one she has been leaving out in her sets. Laughter and apologizes later, she redeems herself with her last song Mason Street.

She continues touring with Ashley Kutcher but promises that she will be back. After both sets, she chatted with fans taking photos and getting to know all the new fans of the night had brought. Despite how cold it was outside, the atmosphere was warm thanks to Savanna getting the party started.

We chatted with Savanna before she started her tour with Ashley Kutcher about her album “Reminders of You" and how she ended up doing a Thanksgiving break tour with Ashley. You can see the full interview on our YouTube channel or here! Never miss a moment by hitting subscribe.

Savanna grew up in Florida around creatives who were making a living from music, which encouraged her that becoming a full-time artist was a viable ambition. Originally inspired by mainstream country, she wrote her first song at age 12, exhibiting passion and talent that would eventually take her to Nashville on a music scholarship.

After performing in a country-pop duo with her sister, Savanna went solo. Initially exploring glossy pop, she has honed her expression and gathered like-minded collaborators for a more authentic and organic, stripped-back sound on the deeply personal reminders of you, set to release on Aug 20. Recorded in Nashville and L.A. in collaboration with close friends, the project voices universal yet often subconscious sensations.

reminders of you never plays safe, with Savanna baring her storytelling soul and unafraid to have minimal instrumentation adorning her glacial, uniquely emotive vocals. This time her original country influences and Nashville surrounds make themselves felt, yet the power of Savanna’s innate pop sensibilities, way with words, and respect for hooks remains. The result is a best-of-both-worlds mélange of honest, profound expression and easy everyday accessibility.
