#Live We Dance the night away to another Planet with Two Friends

From one planet to the next, we found ourselves visiting the Planet Two Friends tour stop in Detroit at the Filmore. The sold-out night was filled with dancing and jumping and dodging drinks as the fans got excited for what was to come. The night started off with Justus Bennett getting the crowd ready early and ready. Jumping into the crowd to sing The Killer’s “Mr. Brightside” before Wuki took the reigns with base cranked to twelve.

Fans had moments to get merch and pose in front of the inflated double-head and cheeks-up superhero and poster before Matt and Eli jumped on their spaceship set.

Once the systems were checked it was ready for take off for the two. From Lasers to smoke cannons the fans were not expecting the illusion to have any effect but they were stunned and stoked as one had said to us.

They still have a lot of dates left on the tour with new guests joining them on this mission. The full tour date list can be found here.

More about Two Friends

The duo’s fitting name reflects their lifelong bond as both musical collaborators and best friends.  From humble beginnings as high school bedroom producers to settling into stardom status, Two Friends have quickly become one of the most in-demand acts within their space, with hundreds of millions on streams to their name, a coveted Vegas residency at the Wynn’s XS & Encore, and their very own bi-annual festival, Big Bootie Land. 2023 has already been a massive year with the announcement of their Planet Two Friends headline tour with stops at iconic venues such as Red Rocks in Denver and Forest Hills Stadium in New York as well. The duo also played Coachella this past month (check out their Rolling Stone interview HERE), and received a shout-out from TikTok creator Alix Earle following a recent set in Miami. Listen to their latest single “No Saving Us” featuring SAYGRACE HERE.

With fans at the epicenter of their success, they take pride in engaging with them both at shows and across their social media platforms. The tandem exploded into the global dance music landscape with their viral remixes of The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside,” Blink 182’s “I Miss You,” and their award-winning Big Bootie Mix series. Amassing millions of streams across YouTube and SoundCloud per installment, the Big Bootie Mix series has become the soundtrack to many a good night out across 10 years of regular releases.

Testaments to their intricately-produced live sets, Two Friends have performed at iconic venues from the likes of Aragon Ballroom, and Shrine LA, just to name a few. As they continue building a legacy crossover brand, Matt and Eli will always just be Two Friends.
