* = Soft Blue Shimmer headline show
Building off an exciting 2022, Los Angeles, CA band Soft Blue Shimmer are about to embark on a US tour supporting Softcult alongside select headlining shows. The band will be touring on their latest album, Love Lives In The Body, released in November 2022 on Other People Records. Recorded with Corey Coffman (Gleemer), the album finds the group’s floaty and hazy instrumentation glistening alongside emotionally-charged lyrics. In addition to the tour with Softcult, Soft Blue Shimmer has also announced upcoming shows with The Sounds Of Animals Fighting, Rival Schools, and an appearance at Indianapolis’ Post Festival. Full dates below.
First formed in 2018, Soft Blue Shimmer released their debut EP, Nothing Happens Here in 2019, followed by the moodier full-length, Heaven Inches Away in 2020. Love Lives in the Body serves as not only a natural growth from their past material, but also an outlet for lyricist Charlie Crowley to be their most vulnerable yet. The result is eleven songs that convey feeling and closeness, and also offer the band’s most technical and lush work to date. Already being a few months removed from the album release, the trio have been able to see fans connect with the songs in a live setting, having recently toured with acts like Modern Color and Teenage Wrist. With the release of Love Lives in the Body and a steady touring schedule ahead, Soft Blue Shimmer continues to develop as a must-know act in the world of indie and alternative music.
Soft Blue Shimmer is Meredith Ramond (vocals, bass), Charlie Crowley (guitar, vocals), and Kenzo Cardenas (drums).
