Bella Kaye Introspects Self Inflicted Pain in Bluer Interpretation of Recent Single

Sometimes it’s easier to place the blame on others. Reflecting and considering all the pain that may have been self imposed can be emotionally taxing, yet this self introspection is a key component of Bella Kaye’s music. Releasing September 15th, “Paint Me Blue (Bluer Version)” takes a new artistic meaning than the original, with the bluer version featuring a beautiful orchestration of heartfelt strings, raw piano, emotive vocals and haunting harmonies. “Paint Me Blue” is written from the moment when she realized how detrimental a relationship became. Yet through her journey, instead of placing the blame on someone else, Bella emotionally reflects on what she’s put her own self through. Once again Bella is proving herself to be a rising star to watch out for.

“When I was recording “Paint Me Blue (Bluer Version)” I tapped into really sad emotions, but it was different from the recording process of the original version. Originally this song was written about a relationship, but creating a bluer version allowed me to think about the relationship with myself…instead of someone else painting me blue, I painted me blue. The strings and sonics in this song created such a tender mood, and through this new atmosphere, I couldn’t help but think about everything I've been through over the past couple years.” ~ Bella Kaye

“I think that’s the beauty of music and interpretation. Designing an entirely different atmosphere within the sonics allowed for a whole new range of emotions to arise and it’s really cool to make new meanings out of songs that lyrically are the same as the original.”  ~ Bella Kaye

This self inflicted pain lays the foundation for the release of her upcoming concept EP focusing on a dark period of her life.
