Nobody Really Cares, are you sure about that Baby Queen? We Do, hear her latest here.
Baby Queen has released her new single “Nobody Really Cares” out now via Island Records. It follows the soaring success of “Colours Of You,” a track written specifically for Netflix’s smash hit LGBTQ+ drama Heartstopper, based on Alice Oseman’s young adult book series of the same title. Since launching, “Colours Of You” has clocked up approximately 5.5 million streams and been embraced by the Heartstopper community globally. Baby Queen surprised fans at her recent triumphant headline show at London’s Electric Ballroom when she invited the Heartstopper cast to join her on stage to sing the final chorus of “Colours Of You,” much to the audience’s delight.
Pop’s favorite anti-hero, Baby Queen – aka 24-year-old Bella Latham – has been dubbed a voice for the underdog generation and one of the most exciting new artists to emerge in recent times. Her songs candidly document experiences and explore themes that resonate with her growing die-hard fanbase, The Baby Kingdom.
Speaking about “Nobody Really Cares,” Baby Queen says:
“Nobody Really Cares is about realizing it’s okay to be yourself and do exactly what makes you happy because people are selfish in nature and only have so much space inside their brains reserved for you. I think it’s really liberating to know that nobody cares about your self-expression as much as you sometimes think they do, so filtering yourself to please them is pointless.”
Since the release of her critically acclaimed 2021 mixtape, The Yearbook, Baby Queen’s star has continued to soar, receiving accolades and glowing reviews from key publications across the board including Billboard, NPR, Consequence, MTV, UPROXX, INSIDER, and NME who dubbed her “a future leader of pop.” Tipped as an artist to watch this year with her inclusion on the BBC Sounds of 2022 list, she is well on her way to fulfilling that expectation and more. Following her own 7-show sold-out headline tour in April, she hit the road again joining Olivia Rodrigo on the European and UK leg of her ‘SOUR’ world tour. With a summer of festivals and future projects to be announced, 2022 looks set to be a significant year for more than one Queen
