Global R&B artist Matt B has released a dance remix of his iconic Afro-pop track “Gimme Love” featuring Ugandan superstar Eddy Kenzo, out today via Vitae Records. Using cosmic synths and a booming beat drop, the fresh take offers listeners a chance to experience the song in a new light with an irresistible and somehow even catchier groove to get down to. “Gimme Love” has amassed nearly 5 million streams across platforms since its release and just recently entered the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart at #49.

“‘Gimme Love’ is an amazing record that’s so universal,” shares Matt. “My fans, along with Eddy's, have been loving it so far. With that in mind, I felt that there was no better way to breathe new life into the record than to do a remix. I just wanted to do something fun that listeners could turn on and catch a new vibe. We are excited to see how the clubs and radio respond to this one!”
The release comes on the heels of the announcement that Matt will perform at the Eddy Kenzo Festival next month on November 12th in Kampala, Uganda at the Kololo Airstrip. The annual celebration is an Ugandan Cultural Exchange and Entertainment event, the first of its kind in Uganda, and will also feature a performance by Kiflex with more to be announced soon.
“Gimme Love (Dance Remix)” is a refresher to the original track which has been praised for its vibrant, award-winning music video taking home top prizes at the Global Music, LIT Talent, and New York International Film Awards — watch it here. “Gimme Love” is one of many recent offerings from Matt B whose music commonly focuses on love-driven R&B and speaks to appreciating the love in your life which can be heard on his latest single “I’m Here With You” as it puts an emphasis on spending quality time with your significant other.
