God of War, the project of They Are Gutting A Body of Water’s Douglas Dulgarian and Hooky’s Scott Turner and Sam Silbert, are excited to share their new album, molly picture, out now via Julia’s War Recordings. With carefree, jangly guitar riffs, twinkling with vivid, colorful electronic beats and playful vocals throughout, today’s release finds scene mainstays blending their sound for innovation and indulgence. An official music video by TAGABOW and Her New Knife collaborator David Luna for album track “Lindas” premieres today, filmed at Front Street Gym in Philadelphia, PA. The video unfolds like a short film, featuring the training journey of a young boxer.

Last month, God of War returned with two new singles, “mickey don’t pose” and “new deal,” which offered an initial preview of the record’s electronic overtone. The official music video for “mickey don’t pose” by Luna showcases the never-ending chase for the world’s pleasures, prioritizing winning at all costs.

God of War is music for the crowd of if you know, you know-ers. Debuting in 2023 with their album, serotonin, God of War embodies the feeling of getting lost in a video game or skate video. The trio of Philadelphia DIY heroes has joined forces again to create songs with layers of droning metallics, twisted riffs, Nintendo-esque sounds, and supreme pop songcraft under a blanket of melancholy.

Should I tell Aunt Vicky? No, no, no- that would ruin this moment. He is racking up points that were formerly unheard of, and with such grace. There’s no expression on his face. And considering that he just sat open-mouthed at the dinner table staring into nothing for forty minutes, this revelation is more than remarkable. It seems as if he has always existed in this moment. As if his very essence was plucked from the ether. And perhaps he has. He was made for this moment. GOD OF WAR 2026.
