“While the White Stripes — their most obvious comparison — were about controlled

energy, Girl Tones are proudly imperfect.”

“I could try and weave together a blanket of colorful words to describe Girl Tones and how talented they are but I’m just gonna say Girl Tones is f***** dope, dude.

Without missing a beat, Girl Tones today release their first single of the year titled “Volcano.” Headstrong and unyielding, but making diamonds under pressure, the sister duo lays out their exact path. In 2026, it’s ride or get off the horse. Listen to “Volcano” via Parallel Vision x Big Loud Rock HERE.

The band’s singer Kenzie said that “Volcano” is about, “How helpless it feels when chaos strikes. One thing I’ve learned is to flip chaos on its head and make something new out of it. Pressure isn’t always a bad thing.”

Announced this week, Girl Tones join Amazon Music’s list of Artists to Watch for 2026. They are amongst peers like Fcukers, Florence Road, Folk Bitch Trio, NewDad and more. Last year’s alumni include massive names like Alex Warren, Addison Rae, Leon Thomas and Mk.gee.

Wasting no time getting back out on the road, Girl Tones will join Dexter and The Moonrocks for a West Coast tour beginning later this month. Then in March, they will then team up with Peter McPoland for his tour dates. Revealed earlier this week, Girl Tones will be a Showcasing Artist at SXSW. And as festival season continues, Girl Tones can be seen at The Great Escape in the UK, and back in the US at Bonnaroo, Bottlerock, Treefort and Outside Days. See all upcoming dates here and below.

ABOUT GIRL TONES:

Girl Tones, of planet Earth, are a high-energy rock duo brought to life by two sisters named Kenzie and Laila. Both classically trained musicians, Kenzie transitioned from cello to guitar and Laila from piano to drums in an effort to electrify sentient beings from this galaxy to the next. Their debut releases were produced by Brad Shultz of Cage The Elephant and released via his label Parallel Vision in partnership with Big Loud Rock.

Their first offerings have earned the praise of Rolling Stone, VICE, Consequence, PAPER, NME, DORK and many others with Flaunt saying, “Their sound is fluid, and yet with each release, they evolve as a harmonious group, developing their unique sound as one.”

In their short but mighty existence, the duo has become synonymous with riotous live shows. Girl Tones has toured with Cage The Elephant across the globe, as well as The Velveteers, hey, nothing. and Silversun Pickups in North America. Making their unignorable festival debut at Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Austin City Limits and more, Rolling Stone said, “While the White Stripes — their most obvious comparison — were about controlled energy, Girl Tones are proudly imperfect.”

As the band jumps into 2026, they have no shortage of new music and new tour dates up their sleeves.
