September 15th, 2025 - Los Angeles, CA - Starship Entertainment proudly announces the official debut of its newest rookie group, IDID, with the release of their first album, I did it. The seven-member team—JANG YONGHOON, KIM MINJAE, PARK WONBIN, CHU YOOCHAN, PARK SEONGHYEON, BAEK JUNHYUK, and JEONG SEMIN—marks Starship’s first new boy group in about five years. Starship Entertainment is home to global K-pop artists including MONSTA X, WONHO, IVE, CRAVITY, and KiiiKiii.

The debut album I did it features eight tracks and a music video, with the focus track 제멋대로 찬란하게” (CHAN-RAN) leading the release. The song’s bright rhythms and bold hip-hop bass capture IDID’s free-spirited essence, while its music video showcases the group’s unfiltered energy in a series of spontaneous, genuine moments: laughing, running, splashing water, and filling the frame with the joy of living each day on their own terms. Also included on the album is the group’s pre-debut single “STEP IT UP,” released in July, which introduced IDID’s fierce determination and fearless approach to performance.

Formed through the survival variety program Debut’s Plan, which premiered in March 2025, IDID quickly drew attention from K-pop fans worldwide as Starship’s highly anticipated next-generation act. True to their name, which comes from the phrase “I did it,” the group embodies unshakable resolve and a drive to turn ambition into achievement. From the very beginning, IDID has chosen instinct over certainty, embracing imperfection as brilliance and using raw emotions to carve out their own path.

The group made their first international appearance at KCON Los Angeles in August, where they announced their official debut and delivered a powerful performance on the M COUNTDOWN Stage. There, they showcased “STEP IT UP” alongside a tribute to ENHYPEN with a cover of “XO,” signaling both their versatility and their readiness to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with today’s global stars.

Musically, IDID’s debut album flows as a single emotional arc, with each track carrying its own texture while tying together through themes of raw feeling and youthful energy. From the delicate waves of emotion in “SLOW TIDE” to the uplifting embrace of imperfection in “ImPerfect,” the addictive punch of “STICKY BOMB,” and the determined drive of “Blooming CROWN,” the project captures the full spectrum of the group’s identity. The pre-debut anthem “STEP IT UP” remains the most direct showcase of their confident energy, while the focus track 제멋대로 찬란하게” (CHAN-RAN) highlights their unrefined, unapologetic authenticity with the memorable line, “The falls and the scars are still part of me.”

With I did it, IDID is not aiming for a flawless first step but instead presenting a vivid documentary of the present moment; brilliantly unrestrained and precise in emotion. If they were a color, the group would be iced blue with a touch of sparkling silver: fresh, sharp, stylish, and spontaneous. Their music layers vulnerability over polished beats, offering a style that is distinctly their own and marking them as one of the most exciting rookie groups to emerge in 2025.

As Starship Entertainment’s newest addition, IDID is setting their own rules in K-pop and bringing a fresh standard to the next generation. Their debut is an exclamation point in the current landscape, one that declares loudly and unapologetically: they did it.
