Friday, September 12th (Los Angeles, CA) – Today, Allie X returns with “Is Anybody Out There,” her first drop of 2025. Self-produced and written, the track serves as a meditation on existential isolation, shared societal malaise. Already heralded as “one of fall's most anticipated releases” by The New York Times, “Is Anybody Out There” emerges from a forthcoming collection that promises to showcase the full breadth of the prolific pop savant's artistic evolution, set to unveil later this year.

“Every so often, I was drawn away from my computer, toward the piano. I was hearing these melodies and words that were totally out of place for ‘Girl With No Face’ - barely intelligible, as if a different person was writing them,” explains Allie X. “Last summer, between tours, I found myself creatively restless. So I gave myself a challenge: to sift through this fragmented three-year archive of voice memos and try to turn them into actual songs.”
“Is Anybody Out There” follows Allie X’s celebrated third album, Girl With No Face. Highlighted by singles “Black Eye” and “Off With Her Tits,” the LP arrived to widespread critical acclaim. Vice praised Allie X for “expertly strolling the line between dark and dreamy,” and GQ lauded her as “an astonishing force in songwriting.” The Line of Best Fit called the album “a brilliantly bonkers thrill-ride,” while InStyle hailed it as “her magnum opus.” Allie X also released a Deluxe Edition of the LP, filled with new tracks including “Bon Voyage,” as well as darkwave remixes of fan favorites from the original album. Girl With No Face was named as one of the best albums of 2024 by Cosmopolitan, Brooklyn Vegan, The AV Club, Rolling Stone, and more.
Allie X’s Girl With No Face era saw her make her network television debut on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and embark on her landmark Girl With No Face and Weird World headline tours in 2024. She will return to Brazil in January 2026 for two sold-out shows at São Paulo’s Cine Joia.
