BO STALOCH PREMIERES EUPHORIC NEW SINGLE “BORN TO

RISING FOLK ARTIST KICKS OFF DEBUT NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINE TOUR NEXT MONTH

TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE

Today, rising artist Bo Staloch shares his new single “Born To” — an unforgettably tender love song lit up in his radiant form of folk-pop. Out now via Capitol Records, “Born To” is accompanied by a wildly charming visualizer from the Austin-born, Nashville-based singer/songwriter. Listen to “Born To” here and check out the visualizer here.

Written by Staloch, Jackson Shanks, and X Ambassadors frontman Sam Nelson Harris, “Born To” perfectly spotlights the warm but powerful vocal work Staloch recently brought to the stage in his support slot for Country superstar Zach Bryan at London’s historic Hyde Park and at his Lollapalooza Chicago debut — a performance that quickly amassed raves from major outlets like Forbes (“Driven by honesty, Staloch’s authenticity was on full display during a pair of Lolla sets”) and antiMusic (“Bluesy folk reigned supreme during Staloch's set under the scenic trees”).

“At its core, this song is really just a declaration of love,” Staloch explains. “It’s written from the perspective of a romantic relationship, but I think it can be interpreted in different ways depending on the listener. Whether you want it to be about a friend, a family member, a lover, or anyone else in your life, this song is meant to embody love in every sense. We love love over here.”

The follow-up to “Angelina” — a June release praised by MELODIC Magazine, who noted that the “sheer vulnerability that Bo always offers his fans is unparalleled” — “Born To” features production from Shanks (a producer/songwriter/musician who’s worked with indie artists like quinnie and Ella Jane and contributed to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s I Said I Love You First). After opening with a stark simplicity that reveals every nuance of his singular voice, the track’s chorus explodes into a joyful frenzy Staloch professes his absolute devotion to the one he adores (“And I’m gonna love you/Like, baby, I was raised in it/Like Sundays in the kitchen/I’ll be damned if I miss this”). As the song unfolds, pounding piano lines and giddy gang vocals amplify its mood of euphoric determination, all while weaving in Staloch’s sweetly lovestruck poetry (e.g., “You make this house a home/You’re all the hanging paintings/The tin roof when it’s raining”).

An utterly endearing counterpart to “Born To, the song’s visualizer finds Staloch whipping up a pancake breakfast for two in a cozy sunlit kitchen. With all the playful intimacy of a home movie, the clip also captures Staloch dreaming up a song with the help of his acoustic guitar and notebook, then stepping out into the street to sing for the world.

Back in March, Staloch released his debut EP The Garden and earned raves from the likes of Atwood Magazine (who declared that Staloch “cements himself as part of folk rock’s ‘next generation’”) and Ones To Watch (who stated that “the whole EP is a standout for its weightiness and ability to sink deep-rotted feelings into every tone and melody, cementing itself as a real journey for such a nascent songwriter”). Meanwhile, a feature in EUPHORIA. proclaimed that “[w]hen he speaks, Staloch’s tone and temperament are unpretentious, impressionable...He embodies the spirit of a California dreamer, of an elder statesman with a guitar in hand, able to ruminate and implore the questions and truths we run from.”

As announced in June, Staloch is now gearing up to kick off his first-ever North American headline tour. Beginning September 27 at Nashville’s Exit/In, the tour will include stops at major venues like Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right (October 8), Denver’s Globe Hall (October 16) and The Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles (October 25). With dates scheduled through November 1 at Antone’s Nightclub in Austin, Emma Ogier will serve as the opening act at all shows. Go here for more info and to purchase tickets.
