Mauthausen release new EP “At And Of The Sum, Leprosarium”

Death Metal band Mauthausen release new EP “At And Of The Sum, Leprosarium”
Formed in mid-2022 by Jedson Cruz (guitar/bass), the band gained strength with the arrival of Vitinho (vocals) and André (drums), consolidating a musical project that delves into the darkest roots of Old School Death Metal. Inspired by giants of the genre such as Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Decapitated, the trio debuts with the EP “At And Of The Sum, Leprosarium”, a dense, brutal work full of social criticism.
With four new tracks — Mauthausen, Leprosarium, Punisher and Asylum — the work addresses themes such as human evil, invisible diseases, psychological and historical suffering, exploring the darkest side of existence. All this with a raw, direct sound loaded with subliminal messages.
“Dying from despair and the longing for perdition” — this is how the band defines the essence of the EP. There is no redemption or optimism: just a raw and disturbing reflection of reality. The title “At And Of The Sum, Leprosarium” symbolizes a cycle where everything is lost — and will continue to be lost.
This release is more than just a sound recording: it is a declaration of artistic resistance, a call to those who still have the courage to face the abysses of the human soul. With cutting riffs, guttural vocals and heavy beats, the EP is a manifesto against conformity and an ode to inner darkness.
