#Live: Peach Pit ended the weekend in style at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill

We caught up with Peach Pit and Briston Maroney on a tag-team tour across North America. Last Sunday, they were at the mighty Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill. The sunny weather brought out some of the best fans we’ve experienced in a while, from dancing with the security team to belting out every word of everyone on stage. The common theme of the night was “This is cute”. Even before the show, some fans participated in disc golf with Passion Pit, since their setup was right in front of the east entrance.

The night started with the opening act, BNNY, before Briston Maroney took over the stage. If you want a crowd warmed up and ready to rock out, look no further than Briston. Playing songs like Real Good Swimmer, BottleRocket, and DNA before ending it with crowd favorite Freaking Out. As the sun set on Briston’s set, Passion Pit emerged.

The band's set was a little pushed back from the others’ sets, but for a good reason, as we soon found out. With the fog smoke at a solid eleven out of ten, the band arrived, kicking off their first song from the title of their 2024 hit album, Magpie. Soon after that, they went straight to Drop the Guillotine with several guitar solo moments across the floor of the stage. Halfway into the set, frontman Neil Smith talked about an “11-12 beer kind of night” and a picturesque bachelor's night incident at an Airbnb—all this to transition into Up Granvile. The night was a night to remember, and if you haven’t already bought tickets, they are still available, especially for the new nights that were recently added.

Peach Pit are extending their already robust 2025 schedule with the addition of 20 U.S. cities for their “Fall Quest 2025" tour later this year. Kicking off in Portland, OR on September 12, the band’s fall tour will see them perform to an additional 20 cities in the U.S. before wrapping in Pittsburgh, PA.  Peach Pit U.S. tour dates with Briston Maroney are on sale now. The fall run will follow an already banner year of touring for Peach Pit, which started with dates in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. The group is now set to hit the road for nearly 30 dates across the U.S. this May and June, seeing the band perform at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Greek Theatre, and Petco Park.
