Created from a combination of hyperpop influences and field recordings, ‘You and I’ marks a new chapter for artist and producer Tiiva.

Today’s new single is the first to be teased ahead of next month's debut album, transporting listeners into a shimmering world of chopped vocals, dynamic basslines and an energy fit for igniting a dance floor.

Having cultivated a fusion between synthetic and natural elements, ‘You and I’ sees these two worlds collide into an infectious display of dynamic hyperpop. Sharing more, Tiiva explained: ‘I wanted the synthetic elements of the music to represent a hyper futurism, where ‘you’ is the computer, and ‘I’ is the human, ‘you’ is the binary of the world and ‘I’ is the real person who exists as a changing being that doesn’t fit into any one binary.  you and I is the hyper bright world of change.’

Since their launch, independent artist and producer Tiiva has made a name for themself with their recipe of reflective lyricism, pop euphoria and weightless production. Writing songs with humbling transparency, Tiiva’s fearless approach to music has resonated with many, already scooping support from the likes of Clash, DIVA, Them, The Line of Best Fit, Wonderland and many more.

Based in the Lake District, Tiiva finds their inspiration in queer communities, nature and the world around them. As well as the pioneering talents of artists such as Caroline Polachek, SOPHIE Oklou, Wet, AG COOK, all of which contribute to building Tiiva’s evolving sound.

With an undeniable skill for courageous storytelling, through both their lyrics and sonic choices Tiiva continues to thrive as they push on with the construction of their multifaceted, abstract pop world.
